The under-toned sadness in her voice made me cringe, maybe she was just as affected by everything as I was

"I- I called a thousand times I thought you were gone for good, and now your just here" Leah followed

"I mean I did promise; Always and forever right" I sniffled as I felt tears of my own begin to form as I fiddled with my ring

Leah chuckled at my statement, and looked at the ground for a fleeting second like she was thinking of what to say, I was nervous speaking to the girl this was sudden and unexpected for her seeing as the news of my return had just come out and honestly I didn't know where this left us

"So where does this leave us" Leah said slowly piecing each word together

"That's a question i was hoping you'd answer, I mean I did just get up and leave not really weighing out the pros and cons" I said feeling a sudden rush of guilt

"It's not all your fault I didn't make it easy for you if I'm honest I was jealous, jealous of all your other friends and scared that if you'd stay that you'd realise that you didn't want to be here and leave anyway so I kind of self sabotaged and then you left" Leah said taking a deep breath in,

"If I were you I don't know how id forgive me I feel awful, and I don't know how you'd still want someone like me" she continued

While stood in the girls doorway and finally hearing what she was truly feeling it made me feel more conflicted than I wanted to feel but I still loved her I mean I came back for her I stuck to my promise for her I'd made so many difficult decisions based around her and I didn't want it to go to waste

"I don't want what we went through to be all for nothing I think it's worth giving us another chance" I said hopeful

"I'm not gonna lie I missed your optimism" Leah said lifting the mood "and your right I still love you Bella and I think that we should start again we owe it to ourselves"

"Yea we do" I smiled happy that the whole situation had come together

I had been at Leah's apartment for a little while we were sat on her couch taking in each other's company in a peaceful setting which we hadn't done in a while even before I left, I just was really hoping that this time things would last and things finally didn't have to be complicated;

we were currently sat closely together my head resting on her shoulder as she gently threaded her fingers through my hair,

"So how was it over there, like what did you get up to" Leah asked

"Not much, I spent as much time as I could when I was there with my friends, on the second day I had realised that I wasn't happy with my decision of leaving so I made the decision to come back here" I explained

"Miss me that much?" Leah said being snarky

"Don't flatter yourself Williamson you were one of many contributing factors" I replied playfully

"Ouch that stung Lindsey"

"Oh so we're on last name basis now" I chuckled looking up at her briefly from my sitting position

"You started it" Leah said defensively trying to contain her laughter

"Did not"

"Did too"

"Did not"

"Did too"

"Is there at any point where you're going to become mature" I laughed

"Nope" she replied popping the 'p'

"Your insufferable Williamson" I joked

"You love me really" Leah contradicted

"Maybe a little" I teased

We sat in a comfortable silence for a while as Leah continued to run her fingers throughout my hair gently which was starting to make me feel tired

"I came to the airport you know" Leah said out of the blue

"What?" I replied confused about the girls statement

"When you said you were going to leave I wasn't really thinking clearly I was upset as you know and I was being stubborn but when the realisation hit that you were actually going to be gone I drove to airport as Quickly as I could to try and catch you before you left but I was too late" Leah stated in a way that made me think she was reliving the moment in her head

"How did you know what flight I was going to be on" I asked

"I called Aubrey, I probably sounded crazy and frantic I was practically yelling down the phone to get her to tell me and when she finally did I tried to get there in time but it was too late, you were gone"

"Well I'm here now and that counts for something" i said trying to reassure the girl, taking her free hand in mine, gently tracing stars on her palm

"Promise me you won't leave again" Leah asked her voice slightly shakey , the question obviously bringing a layer of discomfort and sadness to the blonde

"I promise" I said sincerely trying to install as much peace of mind to the girl as possible

There wasn't a follow up from Leah, there was a lot of things that had been and would most likely stay unspoken between us,

but to look at the bigger picture I knew it was for the better there was simply no point in bringing up old emotions that would only cause cracks in a relationship already fragile all we could focus on now is becoming stronger for are selves and for each other
