Bruce Wayne wasn't one to form strong attachments easily, consciously striving to maintain a balance between giving and receiving attention. His main focus remained only on his missions, his team, and above all, his family.

But, there was an exception to a little girl that he was watching over today. Her wide emerald-green eyes, which seemed to pierce through his soul, gazed at him as though he had grown two heads.

The good news for him was that little Emily never cried. Emily, the name of the sweet little girl cradled in his arms, clutched her small brown teddy bear adorned with a tiny blue bowtie around its neck. Her skin was as white as snow, and her hair looked the slightest bit of violet under the light. 'Just like her mother' He thought, However, she had inherited her father's emerald-green eyes and perhaps even his attitude...

Emily was always quiet. Even for a two year old girl, she was more quiet than usual. Maybe its because this is the first time Emily was here without her parents, which where out on a date, or maybe its because her grandmother Selina, who was obviously her favorite out of himself and her, wasn't here because she was currently visiting her old friends, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

"So, Emily, what would you like to do?" he inquired, gently setting her down on the living room carpet and taking a seat beside her. She continued to gaze at him, and by now, they were engaged in a staring contest. Bruce couldn't help but notice just how small the girl was — her tiny hands, her tiny feet, every inch of her miniature frame.

"Piwwow!" She said softly, pointing at the cushions on the couch. Bruce followed her gaze and smiled. "Yes, Emily, those are pillows," he replied, his smile never leaving his face. Emily then used her tiny hands to lift herself up and waddled toward the cushions, patting them. "Piwwow!" she exclaimed, her excitement growing.

Bruce chuckled softly as an idea struck him. "Emily, do you want to build a pillow fort?" Her face lit up with excitement, and she continued patting the cushions, repeating, "Piwwow!" Bruce gently lifted her and placed her on the couch. "Stay right here," he instructed before dashing up the stairs. He returned with a handful of pillows and blankets, arranging them beside Emily on the couch.

"Look what I have, Emy!" Bruce exclaimed as she gazed at the stack of pillows and blankets in front of her with bubbling excitement. "Piwwow!" Emily squealed with delight, and Bruce couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. "You and I are going to build the most amazing pillow fort ever."

A few hours later, a car pulled up in front of the manor. "Well, the manor is still in one piece... That's a good sign right?" Damian nervously remarked. Rachel smiled reassuringly, "I told you everything would be fine." She opened the car door and began walking toward the entrance, her husband following closely behind. Standing before the door, they exchanged a glance for a moment before Damian rang the doorbell. They could hear footsteps approaching from inside. Damian spoke softly, "Moment of truth. Let's hope my father entrusted Emily to Pennyworth"

Rachel smiled, "You really don't trust your dad, do you?" She asked him as she remembered how many times Damian said they should postpone their day out to another day when Selina was available or just let Emily tag along with them. "With my daughter, no." Damian started, "He raised Drake remember?" Rachel laughed at that, but she stopped after Alfred opened the door.

"Ah Master Damian and Ms. Rachel, I do hope you enjoyed your date." He greeted them and welcomed them to the manor. "It was great Alfred," Rachel replied to him smiling, "Where's Emily?" She asked him as she scanned the room for any sign of her daughter. "Oh, little Emily is probably having the time of her live with her grandfather." Alfred said to her while heading towards the living room and leaving Rachel and Damian to their own thoughts.

They got the gesture and followed Alfred to the living room. As they entered, their eyes fell upon a delightful surprise: a blanket, gracefully draped over a gathering of robust chairs, had transformed into a charming little pillow fort.

"Mama!" Emily's excitement bubbled over as she spotted her mother. Rachel responded with a warm smile and scooped up her daughter. "Hi, Emily!" she greeted with affection. "Did you have a good time?" she inquired, her eyes also drawn back to the captivating pillow fort. "Piwwow!" Emily exclaimed, her tiny hands pointing excitedly at the pillow fort. "Yes, a pillow fort!" Rachel affirmed, sharing in her daughter's enthusiasm for the cozy sanctuary they had discovered.

Damian remained in a state of shock, and remained speechless by the unexpected sight of his father emerging from the pillow fort. Bruce, his father, broke the silence with a gentle inquiry. "Oh Damian, did you have a good day?" he asked, his voice filled with warmth. Damian, still captivated by the pillow fort, replied with a question of his own, never shifting his gaze from the neatly stacked pillows and blankets before him. "Did you?"

Bruce laughed lightly, "It was Emily's idea," Bruce replied smiling at his sons expression. "Daddy!" Emily's joy knew no bounds when she noticed her father. Damian, his surprise fading into warmth, quickened his pace to greet his daughter. He embraced her and held her close. "Piwwow!" Emily exclaimed again, her delight evident as she pointed at the beloved pillow fort she and Bruce had crafted. "I am very shocked," Damian admitted with a hint of amusement in his voice, as he held Emily in his arms, feeling grateful for the unexpected and heartwarming surprise.

Rachel's laughter added a touch of warmth to the room as she observed her husband's endearing behavior. She turned her attention to Bruce and inquired, "Was Emily alright, Bruce?"

Bruce's smile grew even warmer as he recalled the time spent with Emily. "She was an angel," he replied to Rachel, his voice filled with affection. He then picked up Emily's beloved brown teddy bear and gently handed it to her. Emily responded with a radiant smile, the joy of her favorite bear's return lighting up her face. Damian, still processing the fact that his father had engaged in playtime with his daughter, couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and appreciation for his father.

"I am pretty sure I am her favorite now."
