          "What do you mean the reaper is coming?" I asked her. What is a reaper? Is she talking about the Grim Reaper?

          "No..." Adam sighed behind me. "Let her go."

          "What?" I said surprised. "You want me to let go of the person that wants to kill you?"

          "Do it." He demanded.

          I stared at him in disbelief, but if he wants me to let go of her then it means we're all in trouble. So I stared at the ground and she began to move. I released her and she jumped from the ground and landed on her feet. She stared at her clothes, her dirty clothes.

          "You're going to pay for this." She shot me a look.

          "I don't have money."

          "I can help you get another necklace." Adam told her as he got closer to her.

          "From where? There's not many that work."

          "You're stronger, I'm smarter." Adam told her, he told her. Oh snap.

          "Then find it." She growled. "You have a month, I will visit and keep a watch from time to time to make sure you aren't fooling me. But I need a necklace or it isn't just you who is going to die." She looked at me then disappeared through the forest. Her speed was incredible, faster than Adam.

          I don't understand all these vampire things. 

          "Okay." I said. "You have so much explaining to do."

          Adam looked a tad stressed, I would be too if I fought with another vampire who broke my neck. But why did he look so hurt? Torn apart, literally. His clothes were cut and his face was a little dirty from hitting it against the ground. 

          It was almost as if I could feel the pain that bothered him, he just stood there staring at the forest where Kim disappeared into. I've never had a boyfriend, As I've said a million times, so I don't know how to react when he gets upset. I don't know him so I can't understand his pain.

          But I am human so I know what I'm supposed to do.

          I walked behind him and wrapped my arms around his chest. He was way taller than me so I couldn't even reach up to kiss him. It was almost as if a sad song was playing in the back of my mind and it made the whole moment kind of sad.

          "Who is she to you?" I asked in a sudden whisper, so calm and collected. I rubbed the dirt off his cheek as he dropped his gaze down to me after a while.

          He smiled at me, it wasn't the smile I hoped for because you can still notice his feelings and they were hurt. "Let's get out of here."

          He quickly grabbed me by the waist, I didn't even have time to hesitate before we were off into the air, soaring at the speed of light, feeling dizzy as ever. I felt a lump form in my throat as my breathing became hard. It felt like you were falling from the sky, like skydiving. You can hardly breathe while you're falling at that speed.

          I held my breath and closed my eyes, I was feeling a little sick and angry that he didn't give me a warning before taking me into this blur of a race. I was seeing flashing colors even though my eyes were closed. What the hell!

          Before I had time to think about anything else, Adam tripped and when someone trips at this speed, it doesn't end well. Specially for me, since I'm so soft and squishy. I was pulled away from Adam's arms and was sent flying through the air. I quickly covered my face as I landed on the ground with a loud thud.
