"A famous American psychologist, Harry Harlow, conducted a series of experiments. He separated a red haired baby monkey, whose DNA is a 95% match to that of humans, from it's mother. It was locked away in a room with two monkey dolls. One doll was made of meshed wire metal with milk bottles attached to it, and the other was wrapped in soft fabric. No milk bottle was attached to the second doll.
The pre-experiment hypothesis also said the baby monkey would prefer the doll with a bottle.
Contrary to the hypothesis, the baby monkey showed a stronger attachment to the fabric doll.
The proven point of this exercise was the importance of skinship (affection, love and bonding)."
