(10/2/23 BR)

I am a skeleton of what I once was.
My house is bare,
and my floors are no longer a honey color.
In the day after they are more of a dull brown.

Maybe that's my fault.
Maybe it's theirs.

After all they invited themselves in.
They were the ones that ate all my
Goldfish crakers and drank all my beer.

It Maybe my fault.
I letted them twist my arm.
I could've protested more.
I could've called the cops.
Maybe it doesn't matter.
Maybe....

I pulled the flag half mast
