Something's Amiss

It is the day before they have to present their song to the lecturer. Throughout the past week, Monty had practically finished his song, the lyrics were done and he had the beat down as well as the rhythm down. The only thing he had to worry about was memorising said lyrics. Despite his great memory skills, he always had trouble remembering lyrics. After the night out a week ago, he focused on getting his song ready. Every now and then he would cross paths with the band and practiced with them but was careful not to give away too much of his song. He wanted it to be a surprise to the group considering it was completely about them. Since he has known the group, they have been nothing but kind to him and did their best to help him feel welcomed into their circle. This was his way of repaying them, the gator was never good with words and this was the only way he could think of to show his gratitude. Despite the whole song appreciating everyone he's met, he wanted to dedicate the chorus to Freddy. Considering how he was the whole reason he had said friends in the first place, he thought it was fitting. Not only did the bear introduce him to the entire band but he was also the one that cared for him the most.

Freddy would purposefully go out of his way to bring him food when he fell asleep early, or when he knew that the gator hadn't eaten much that day. He would make sure he was okay and was there to comfort him when need be. No matter the issue, the bear was always there for him and he couldn't be more grateful to have a friend like him. That's why Monty felt it fitting to dedicate the most important part of his song to him, the chorus. Currently, he was working on memorising the lyrics on his desk in the dorm room. Going over and over each line, the gator made sure to recite each one out loud. He had no idea where Freddy currently was. 'Knowing him, he's probably working hard on the project with the rest of the group,' he thought as he continued to practice on his own project. Monty kept going at it, revising his lines and memorising each, one by one until he received a text.

(11:50AM) Monty: eh maybe i've got my own song to work on

(11:50AM) Freddy: Ah okay, have a great time practicing your song!

(11:51AM) Monty: thanks

He wanted to join the others but he still had to revise and remember his song. Monty then got an idea, 'I could preform my song to one of them and see how they like it, maybe Foxy. He'd be brutally honest.' The gator got changed into a black band t-shirt and ripped jeans. He grabbed the sheets of work he had created and shoved them into his pocket and grabbed his signature shades, putting them on his head. Just as he was about to leave, he remembered his bass and quickly snatched it before opening and closing the door to the dorm.

Monty went around checking practice rooms for the bear and his friends which led to some awkward encounters of seeing other groups of people practicing their music. Since Freddy never told him the specific room he had to guess until he got the right one. The gator opened the door to one of the practice rooms to reveal the band, except it took a moment for him to recognise the others. Monty stepped into the room and was not noticed by the others which gave him a chance to observe them. The gator realised they must be in their performing outfits. Freddy had orange and red trousers on with his black lightning top from the day they first met with an orange biker jacket. Bonnie was wearing a red shirt with a yellow star on it and matching red shorts. Roxy was wearing a similar outfit to the first time they met however, the top was now a crop top. Chica was also wearing the same outfit from the time they first met. Foxy on the other hand, looked completely different. Instead of the usual crappy brown shorts and light red shirt, he was wearing black shorts with gold stars on them and a red shirt with sleeves that also was black and had gold stars on them. Not only that but he also had new accessories added, the eyepatch he usually wore now had a red star on it and he was wearing similar spiky bracelets to Monty's.
