"When we were five, they asked us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Our answers were things like, astronaut, president, or in my case a princess. When we were ten, they asked again. We answered Rockstar, cowboy...or in my case, a gold medalist. But now that we've grown up, they want a serious answer. We'll, how about this...who the hell knows?"
A round of low applause went around the room, and I grinned as Jessica started her speech. She'd been working on it for God knows how long, and I was happy to see that she'd finally pieced it all together.
My heart beat heavily in my chest. This was it, I was graduating.
Her speech went on, and so did the ceremony. One by one, each of my classmates walked up onto the stage- followed by a round of applause. When my sister received her diploma, dad stood and clapped louder than anyone in the room- a proud look taking over his features.
I clapped too, of course. We had our differences, but at the end of the day she was my sister before anything. We were graduating together.
Finally, it was my turn to get my diploma. My eyes floated around the room, taking in every face. I smiled, posing for a picture and taking the rolled up piece of paper. Toward the back of the room, my gaze stopped on a few familiar faces with dark russet skin like mine and undeniably proud expressions as they clapped and howled for me.
They came.
All of the boys, as well as Emily, stood in the back in a group- minus Paul. Embry, Quil, Jared, Seth, Sam, and even Jake- who despite everything , still showed.
He wore that gorgeous grin he had, clapping his hands and leaning against the wall. Unintentionally, my eyes started to water.
Through everything that's been going on, I could say that no matter what, I still had my family. My dad, the pack, even Bella- we were all in this together.
I blinked the tears away, cursing my hormones and stepping off of the stage before someone noticed.

After the whole graduation ordeal was over, I said my goodbyes to my friends and the pack- noticing that Jake left before the end, probably to avoid me.
Most people were off to graduation parties, or off to celebrate with their families- but I opted out of either option and headed home with my dad. I'd assumed Bella went to the Cullens graduation party- along with half of Forks High.
I wasn't feeling up to partying, or much of anything else especially after the past few days I've had. I just wanted to sleep, and I had a feeling that had a lot to do with the supernatural baby I was carrying.
Once we made it to the house, dad gave me a pat on the back before dragging himself to the kitchen to presumably grab a beer. I tossed my house key onto the stand next to the door, and shrugged my graduation robe off- carrying it up to my room with dragging feet.
I flicked my light on, tossed my graduation cap onto my vanity dresser, along with the robe, and flopped down onto my bed with a sigh. Just as my eyes became heavy, my phone started to vibrate in the back pocket of my jeans.
I groaned, debating on ignoring it- but when it didn't stop buzzing I reluctanly pulled it out and flipped it open to answer.
"Hey?"
"Open your window, I'm coming up."
Bile raised up my throat, and my nerves began jumping.
Why was he calling me after everything that happened this morning?
