Optimus was at a bar one night and he had just recently broken up with Elita his ex-girlfriend who had been caught cheating on him. Optimus looked up seeing a gorgeous woman.

"Hey, handsome man, what can I get ya?" she asked. "Whiskey and coke on the rocks," Optimus said. "Ya got it darlin'" she said.

As the woman prepared his drink, Optimus couldn't help but notice her captivating smile and the way her eyes sparkled under the dim bar lights. He took a moment to appreciate her beauty, momentarily forgetting about his recent heartbreak.

As she placed the drink in front of him, Optimus mustered a small smile and thanked her. "Cheers," he said, raising his glass before taking a sip. The whiskey burned slightly as it went down, but he welcomed the warmth it brought to his chest.

The woman leaned against the counter, her gaze fixed on Optimus. "So, what brings you here tonight?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.

Optimus sighed, his thoughts drifting back to Elita. "Just trying to forget about someone," he admitted, his voice tinged with a hint of sadness.

The woman's expression softened, and she leaned in closer. "Well, sometimes a good drink and a friendly face can help with that," she said, her voice filled with empathy.

Optimus couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort in her presence. He found himself opening up, sharing the story of his recent breakup with Elita.

As he spoke, the woman listened attentively, offering words of encouragement and understanding.

"Why she cheat on someone like you, you two have been together for years and she threw it all away like it was nothin'. I'd say she has no idea what she was thinking when she cheated on you, and I would never do that to you, because you are a genuinely sweet man who just fell in love with the wrong person." She said.

Hours passed, and the conversation flowed effortlessly between them. Optimus found himself laughing and smiling genuinely, the weight of his heartbreak slowly lifting.

The woman's company was a welcome distraction, and he felt a newfound sense of hope.

As the night drew to a close, Optimus finished his last drink and looked at the woman gratefully. "Thank you," he said sincerely. "You've been a wonderful companion tonight."

She smiled warmly, her eyes filled with kindness. "It was my pleasure," she replied. "Sometimes, all we need is a little company to remind us that there's still joy to be found."

Optimus nodded, feeling a renewed sense of optimism. He knew that healing would take time, but this chance encounter had given him a glimmer of hope for the future. With a final goodbye, he left the bar, his heart a little lighter than before.

Little did he know, this meeting would mark the beginning of a new chapter in his life. The woman, whose name was Amelie, would become a dear friend and a source of strength during his journey of healing and self-discovery.

As Optimus moved forward, he would always remember that sometimes, even in the darkest of times, a simple encounter could bring about unexpected light and solace.

Optimus carefully tucked the slip of paper with Amelie's phone number into his pocket, grateful for her kind gesture.

As he walked away from the bar, he couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort knowing that he had someone to reach out to if he needed to talk.

Days turned into weeks, and Optimus found himself slowly healing from his breakup with Elita. However, there were still moments when the weight of his emotions felt overwhelming. It was during one of these moments that he decided to take Amelie up on her offer.
