Karan’s pov

We all were sitting in the living room.. Tejasswi was sitting beside me.. keeping her head on my shoulder while i caressed her hand.. rishabh and sanket were busy thinking something

“Guys..” i said and they all looked at me

“we’re having a new year’s party at
office” i said and they nodded

“mehra will attack.” Their heads snapped at me

“usko mauka chahiye.. humari khushiyan khtm krne ka.. voh humein khush dekhega toh attack krega.. we need to be careful.. and you need to be with me..” i said looking at Tejasswi and she nodded

“gun chalani aati hai ?” I asked her and she nodded

“self defence classes mein sab kuch seekha tha.. and kyunki jinhone mujhe sikhaya tha voh army officer the.. toh.. i know how to use a gun..” she answered and i nodded

“Good..” i said and turned to them

“we need to be on high alert.. Tejasswi and unnati are our first priority.. they need to be safe at any cost..” i said and they nodded..

Soon we all went back to our rooms.. and lied on the bed.. i snuggled her closer to me and we dozed off quickly..

It’s December 31st...new year’s eve.. i was getting ready in my room of the penthouse and went out so that Tejasswi can also get ready.. after about half an hour.. i entered the room.. and went near the mirror where Tejasswi was getting ready.. my breath hitched on seeing her all decked up in a cream coloured saree.. she definitely looked like the angel she is.. our eyes met in the mirror and it was like.. the time stopped for us.. i went closer to her and glided my hands on her waist.. and pulled her closer to me.. her back collided with my chest.. i trapped her in my arms and kissed her shoulder

“Maar dalne ka plan hai ?” I said and she shook her head

“Nhi.. but.. aaj sach mein.. koi toh asli mein marega..” she said and i smirked knowing what she was trying to say.. i nodded

“Vaise.. I don’t really want to let you go today.. you look so fucking hot.. saare ladkon ki nazar toh yhin tiki rhegi..” i said while trailing kisses down her neck.. and she closed her eyes and tilted her head to the other side giving me more space to kiss her.. I turned her around suddenly and she gasped.. i bent in nd kissed her forehead

“Tejasswi..” i gulped and she looked up

“aaj kuch bhi ho skta hai.. and by kuch bhi.. i mean kuch bhi..” i said and she shook her head

“Trust me karan.. tumhe kuch ni hoga.. aur hone ko toh mujhe bhi ho skta hai na.. toh let’s not worry about that moment..” she said and i nodded.. she rested her head on my chest and wrapped her arms around my chest.. I wrapped her in my embrace and sighed.. that is it for me.. she is my home.. she is the one i find my solace in.. she is my sukoon and everything else.. I kissed her head and parted from the hug.. I intertwined my fingers with hers and we went down to the office where the party was happening.. we entered together and all eyes were on her.. i went towards rishabh manav and sanket.. while Tejasswi went towards unnati..

Tejasswi’s pov

I was talking to unnati when a girl came to me.. I remember her as mansi.. from the finance department..

“Ms Tejasswi khanna..” she said and i nodded

“stay away from karan.. he is mine..” she said and i scoffed while unnati stifled her laughter

“Aur tum hoti kaun ho mujhe rokne wali ?” I said and she smirked

“You don’t know me.. i will make him mine soon..” she said and was gonna answer her back when..

“And you don’t know her.. so back the fuck off..” came Karan’s voice.. as he came beside me and pulled me closer by my waist..

“and don’t you dare to talk my fiancé like that again.. got that ?” He glared at her while unnati and i smirked

“Well, honey.. you got it bad in the face.. didn’t you? Now you stay away from us.. especially him.. now you know who i am.. better you don’t cross ur limits.. vrna tum jaisi ldki ko thik krna acche se aata hai mujhe” i warned her and she went away.. i turned towards karan..

“Mehra is here..” he said and I nodded.. feeling a little scared now..
