"How dare you? '' Ama shouted with rage as she slapped Nneka across her face. She couldn't believe her best friend and boyfriend had betrayed her. she felt a tight pain in her chest

" Aaa–ama did I do something wrong" Nneka stuttered

" You fucked Damian, how can you call yourself my best friend"

" He loves me Ama "

"He loves you "Ama scoffed

"Nneka stared at the ground, struggling to hide her emotions as she replied, 'I don't have the means, and I'm not the sort of person you'd typically associate with.'"

" 'You're such a coward,' Ama spat, her face contorted with rage. 'Always trying to play the victim, when you know damn well what you did.' She stormed out of the room, leaving Nneka shaking with anger. ''Fucking hypocrite,' she muttered under her breath."

Ama

Beep, beep, my phone rang bringing me back to reality. I wanted to keep all the bad memories away and move ahead. reuniting with my friends at dubem condo, was making me sick, i was definitely going to meet Nneka and Damian after I struggled to avoid them for a whole fucking four years.I really wish i could avoid going, like other Years, but Aikita was going to give me an earful. plus my dad needed dubem mum for the forthcoming project. Our parents made sure we always stuck together because we all came in handy to each other.

I am the only daughter of the conglomerate corporation ALOTA COOPERATION. While Damian Adeshola the heir to HITACHI CONSTRUCTION COMPANY. Dubem Obafemi was the chief judge's son and his mother minister of finance. Aikita saleem the heiress to HELDA AIRLINES. Cross Mateo was half Nigerian and half Mexican the heir to KING'S HOTEL COOPERATION Busola and Cross Akinsola, the twins were major shareholders in TAJJI PETROLEUM CORPORATION.

Their families were mostly needed in each other's businesses. That was a major reason why Nneka felt left out. She used Damian to fill up her inferiority complex and he used her to fill in his incompetence because Nneka was extremely intelligent.

I pulled up to the large, imposing house that served as a home for my friends. I took a deep breath and stepped out of the car, my heart racing. I knew this was going to be a difficult situation, but I had to face them sooner or later.

As she walked up to the door, she could hear the faint sounds of laughter and conversation coming from inside. Taking one last deep breath, she entered the room facing Aikita, Harry, Busola and Cross.

"I'm so happy you made it" Aikita said pulling her into an embrace

Miss a moment like this," Ama replied, hugging Aikita back. " Ama it's been so long, you look beautiful" Busola said hugging Ama, she smiled " thank you" .

"But I have to say, it's a little nerve-wracking being here." Aikita pulled back and gave Ama a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, everything is going to be okay. I promise." Cross stepped forward and offered his hand. "It's good to see you, Ama," he said, his voice calm and reassuring. Ama took his hand and shook it, feeling a little more at ease as Harry smiled at her too.

Aikita said, "We met your dad and brother during the company collaboration, but didn't see you anywhere. It was so nice of them to come."

Ama replied, "Yeah, I was in Dublin for the closure of the MEGA 5 business contract."

Aikita's eyes widened. "Wow, what a coincidence that Dubem was there too! Did you see him?"

"No, I didn't," Ama said, feeling a bit anxious. To be honest, she was a bit nervous about seeing him after what happened between them.

"I can't believe you didn't run into him," Aikita said, surprised.

" No I didn't " she lied again

Aikita was completely in the dark about what had happened between her and Dubem. Aikita had no idea that there was any bad blood between them. In fact, she thought they were friends. Little did she know that things were much more complicated than that.

"Are you okay?" Aikita asked, noticing that Ama seemed tense. "You look a little stressed."

Ama forced a smile. "I'm fine, Aikita. Don't worry about me." But inside, she was a ball of nerves. She hoped that no one would find out the truth about what had happened.

Where is dubem?" Ama asked curiously. " This days he been so distant"Aikita stated

" I guess he is still hurting because of his parents divorce" harry said

" Yeah I went to his last painting exhibition it felt sad"Aikita recalled

"plus dubem is talented at acting all strong"cross added

Ama will definitely agree with cross, dubem always helped them when they were hurting, but distanced himself when he was in pain.

It was so hard to know what dubem was thinking. His parents were bound to be separated sooner or later. Their political career and their tribal differences played a huge part in their divorce but sadly they never made dubem a priority. Dubem was an only child which made him lonely.
