Jeongguk looked at Taehyung who was busy doing his makeup and hair for dinner, today taehyung didn't know what was going to happen at dinner and Jeongguk was very much tensed about it
Not because of his family but for Taehyung as he knows Taehyung loves him so much and will get offended by their not-so-welcoming words
Jeongguk knows that he has been used to his family's rude behaviors toward him since he was 5, and he knows the reason very well
But he knows today's everyone mouth is gonna shut down by the announcement of his grandpa and he has been so ready for it since he was 12
He looked at Taehyung who was now ready, he walked towards him and held him by his waist he noticed Taehyung blushing hard in the mirror
" Love you look so pretty today," Jeongguk said while kissing his ear taehyung threw his boxy smile at him, not knowing the effect of his smile on jeongguk's heart
" Let's go kookie I'm excited to meet Yoongi and Jimin Hyung after a month, " Taehyung said while sounding cheerful as always, jeongguk smiled sadly as he didn't know how Yoongi and Jimin would react to the announcement

Everyone is looking good and talking with each other like they respect, but in reality, they are always ready to backstab each other if they get any chance
Just entering the venue taehyung felt sudden awkwardness and nervousness as it was his first time being at the Kim family dinner as a member of the family
He didn't know why his entry got attention like they were not expecting them, but he just shrugged as he didn't want to assume anything about them as he didn't know them
As of fiance Jeongguk, he should respect everyone, so he took a long breath and pasted a fake smile on his face
Jeongguk looked at Taehyung and laughed when he noticed the awkward smile on his face feeling amused by his lover's act, he cupped his cheeks and placed a kiss on his nose making Taehyung shy due to the elder's presence
" You don't have to act baby," Jeongguk said while still laughing at Taehyung
" But they are your family kookie," Taehyung said making a smirk on Jeongguk's face at the word of family, he chuckled while making Taehyung confused
" Well you will see in 15 minutes how great my family is, " Jeongguk said while holding Taehyung's hands, confusion was very prominent on Taehyung's face
He was going to ask why his fiance had said those words about his own family, but Jimin approached him with Yoongi following him
He hugged both of them and asked them about how they were etc, jeongguk was there standing while enjoying the taehyung sweet bickering with Jimin
Everyone looked at the entrance when Mrkim and his girlfriend ( Taehyung's granny anyone who remembers her?) looked stunning together
Mr. Kim walked to the dinner table and everyone gathered at the dining table, jeongguk took Taehyung to the table carefully while holding his hands
They all sat there respective tables, and Mr Kim looked at all of them with a smile on his face
" Everyone welcome to the dinner I hope everyone is doing great, and I hope everyone is excited to know who will be the new chairman of Kim Corporation, at the end of the dinner I will announce that till then let's enjoy the dinner," Mr. Kim said and everyone fake smiled and laughed and started eating
" You already know who he is gonna choose, " Yoongi asked while looking at Jeongguk, taehyung who was busy talking with his best friend and Granny stopped when he heard Yoongi's voice
Taehyung held Jeongguk's hand below the table, as Taehyung knew that the awkwardness between them had not decreased yet
" Yeah I know, " Jeongguk said while munching on his food as he knew this was the last time he was going to eat with them
" Well whatever I don't care either way it's going to benefit me only, " Yoongi said while looking unamused, yoongi knew that his grandpa was not going to choose him as Yoongi already owned a massive business
And if Grandpa chooses Jeongguk then well he knows that whatever Jeongguk gets taehyung ( His adopted son ) will also get so he is here for the drama only
He loves it when the Kim family shows their real face, and Who doesn't love tea
After that, everyone finished their dinner and was ready for the announcement with so much hope and excitement
" I hope everyone enjoyed the dinner, as it was specially prepared by me and my girlfriend," Mr Kim said while laughing
" And I hope you all will understand why I have chosen the one who I'm going to announce and will also agree with me," Mr. Kim said and everyone held their breath, Mr. Kim looked at Jeongguk
" My lovely daughter might have been so happy if she was here when I was saying this My grandson Jeon Jeongguk will be my heir, " Mr Kim said while making everyone shocked and disappointed
