The web stretches across everything, constantly growing and weaving, spider after spider growing tired.

It grows and grows and grows, until there is nothing left uncovered.

Until it has consumed everything and anything.

Consumed everything around her.

Consumed her wants. Needs. Desires.

Consumed her.

People gather around as the web continues to be spun. Some laugh and cheer as it grows and consumes everything in its path. Others sit quietly, simply ready to watch the show. And some yell in outrage, booing, and begging for the webs destruction.

They call the spider a monster.

Is it?

Who is the monster in a situation like this?

When does it stop?

Does it ever stop?

Or maybe it just keeps on growing. Weaving. Covering. Consuming.

How do you untangle yourself from the web?

How do you cut yourself free?

How do you cut yourself free from something weaved of so many strong, unbreakable things?

Gods. Love. Honor. Trust. Promises.

Blood. Lies. Pride. Deception. Oaths. Fates.

And if you truly can't break free, do you bother trying?

Do you risk the possibility of breaking yourself in the process of breaking free?

When are you free?

Or are you ever?
