Father I'm home! I yelled out. "why have you taken so long to get home? Do have a reason?" "Um.. I packed up a little later." I responded
"so that's your fault, and you WILL be cleaning the kitchen after dinner." Father told me,

"oh give him a break he did nothing wrong! I'll clean the kitchen after dinner, Shinji you have nothing to worry about." My mother said. "You're always so hard on him hunny."
"You're not hard enough!"
My mother giggled a little.
She sat next my father and kissed him on the cheek.
Eugh ew

I went to my room and pulled out homework and started working on it, "should I call ayanami for help?" Maybe, but I'm not sure she actually does the homework,

*Buzzzzzz.......... Buzzzzzzzz*
"Hello? Ayanami you there?"
"Hello.? Who is this?"
"It's Ikari, didn't I tell you to save my contact?"
"I didn't feel like it."
"Whatever.. Did you do the homework?"
"Yes why?"
"I need help, can you give me the answers for 12 and 16?"
"Sure, so first, what is the gcf of-"
"Help.. Ayanami?"
"Oh. I know what you mean."
"So what's the answer?"
"Do the work."
*beep beep beep*

She hung up on me! Well who else should I call.. I would call toji but I don't think he even knows we have homework..

Whatever Ill do the work myself.

(2 hours later)

UGH, I can't do this!
*Beep beep beep beep BEEEEP*

"Hello? Asuka?"
"What do you want??"
"Can you help me with the homework?"
"53"
"What?"
"That's the price."
"WHAT! 53$ for a few hw questions is outrageous!"
"Chill out with the big words, do want homework answers yes or no?"
I sighed loudly in an attempt to guilt-trip Asuka into giving me free answers.
"Is that a yes or a no?"
"Yes.."
"Good! So what do you need help with?"
"Question......

(20 minutes later)

"Thanks, Asuka"
"You really are stupid if you have to pay for answers you know that right?"
"Well, you made me pay!"
"And you did! By the way, if I don't have 53$ in my hand tomorrow, DONT leave your lunch around me. I am going to tell your little "friend" all your secrets! Including that time you-"
"ALL RIGHT! ALL RIGHT!"
"And he's is my friend asuka, you don't gotta make it weird."
"Geez when did you get all sentimental?"
"You should prolly get his number yk to like get him to like you mor-"

*beep beep beep*
Alright. It's time for bed.
I get up and start cleaning my bed, I have to remove all my stuff from the bed. I feel lonely sometimes sleeping alone. Ughh I have to put away all my books and journals, does my teacher hate me or something because why did she give me so much homework?? I hate the 8th grad—

"Honey, dinner is ready!"

Oh yeah, mother was making dinner.
I sit down at the table waiting for somebody to serve me my dish

I hear my father whisper- "let him sit there like an idiot, I wanna see how long it takes for him to get his own dish."

just because of that, I'll get my own dish and start eating.

Pork and rice, basic dish but it's still good. I'm scrolling through instagram and I find a photo of asuka and me we're posing for the camera and I spot Kaworu in the background, Looking at me. That's really weird, considering that we took this photo a day before he moved here.

"Shinji please put your phone on the table." Mother says to me
"I'm doing something currently-"
"Do as she said, put the phone on the table." Fathers says

...

We all just ate in silence.
"So how was your day Gendo sweetie?"
"It was okay, work was a little better because I remembered you were home waiting for me."
"Aw your so sweet."
"So are you."
Gendo smiled at Yui

"How was your day Shinji?" mother asked
"Um, it was alright."
"Anything new?"
"Well I became friend-ish with the new student."
"What is this new student's name?"
"Kaworu. Kaworu Nagisa."
"I swear I have heard that name before. but I can't quite put a finger on it."
"You have?"
"Alright, enough about this student, finish you food Shinji." my father said

I just ate in silence
Once I finished I went to my room

"UH, DID YOU FORGET SOMETHING SHINJI?"
Oh.
"Go ahead and come back. You have to clean the kitchen." father said
"Didnt I say I was gonna do it?" mother asked
"Yeah but this is a little punishment, if I don't do it now he won't learn."
"Just let it slide this time."
"No, he is going to clean."
"Please?"
"..."
"Fine."
"Shinji you can go back to your room-"
"He already left."

I slide into bed and look at that photo on Instagram, huh weird. Maybe I should show this to Asuka, you know, to like let her know what I saw. But then she'd tease me about him,
I really don't know what to do.
I keep scrolling on Instagram and I keep finding little parts of him looking at me in photos, This is way more weirder this photo was taken 2 weeks ago. Should I confront him? Should I inform Asuka? She always knows what to do. Almost always.

"SHINJI PUT THE PHONE DOWN AND GO TO BED!"
My Father said loudly
"ALRIGHT!"
I put my phone down and go to sleep
Ugh I'll deal with whatever I just found tomorrow.

I listen to the cicadas singing outside and slowly start falling asleep.
