BETRAYED

CHAPTER 3: ACCEPTANCE

"Enough of this both of you." Jennifer said. She moved close to Seraphina
"What's your name?" She asked
"Seraphina."  She said. Jennifer gave her a warm smile
"Welcome to our home Seraphina, please feel free."  Seraphina couldn't understand what was actually happening, was she dreaming, what just happened
"Jennifer what do you think you're__"
"Enough Mum."  She said to Grandma Rhonda. "She's going to give birth to my grand child, your great grand child. Come on Sera, if you want anything, please don't hesitate to tell me." She said
"Ok Mrs.Jones." She said
"Please, no need for formalities you can call me mum, after all you're going to be my daughter in law soon." She smiled
"Ok, mum." She said with a smile
"Come on, you need to take a rest you must be tired." Jennifer said and took her upstairs. Jeffrey smiled at them and faced his grandma who looked at them with disgust
"Grandma come on!" He said she smirked and pressed the button on her wheel chair and left.
"This is your room, for now." Jennifer said. Seraphina was lost in the beauty of the room till she felt someone touch her shoulder.
"Hhm." She looked to see who it was and found Mrs.Jones still in the room
"Are you ok, don't you like the room? I can asked for it to be changed." Jennifer assured her
"No, it's just that..."
"What, you don't like the colour, I'll have it repainted"
"No, mum I love everything." She said. Jennifer smiled and kissed her forehead
"I'll let you rest for now." She said and left the room. Seraphina looked around still admiring the room. It had a queen size bed at the center, a vanity table on the left and a large mirror hung above the table. She went to check the bathroom and smiled at the jacuzzi bath tub with blue lights sorrounding it. The bathroom was divine.She came out  and looked at the bed and thought about something. She looked at the bed and ran to it hitting her body on it. It was so soft and bouncy that she jumped up and down like a child in the park. She jumped on it again and again till she lost her balance almost hitting the floor when she felt her body being lifted.  She looked up and was met with Jeffrey's eyes.
"Seraphina." Jennifer shouted. She walked close to her
"What were you doing, you need to be careful."  She said in her mother tone
"You should be careful." Jeffrey said with so much affection.
"Are you ok?"  Jennifer asked touching her hand softly
"I'm sorry." Seraphina sobbed
"It's ok." Jeffrey said as he pulled her close to him. He placed her head on his chest and kissed her softly. Jennifer patted her back
"It's ok Sera, but please be careful next time, you're pregnant." She said. Seraphina sobbed softly.
"Why are you even here? you're supposed to be with me in my room." Jeff said
I think you're right son I thought I was going to wait till after you got married but it's not safe for her and the child. I'll have her things moved to your room."  Jennifer said.
"Come on."  He held her and they moved to his room. His room wasn't that captivating to Seraphina as it was mostly red and black.
"You're room's kind of... nice." She said not sure of it Jeffrey looked at her with a poker face
"Are you sure?"He asked
"Maybe." She shrugged
"Hhmm! Ok I think you should get some rest." He said
"Mmhmm." She nodded.
