CHAPTER 52
When the cops and faisal arrived at the house Mami was no where to be found so is his dad,
Frustrated is the exact word to explained his mood,
He was sitting outside the house as the police officers asking the few people at the area he have his hand supporting his head and it throbs really bad.
"Faisal."jannah call sitting next to him.
"I'm sorry."jannah say wiping her tears with the back of her hand.
"I just feel so alone sometimes, I grew up on my own , after my dad passed away I have to take my siblings responsibility I was used to dealing with my problems on my own and it just become a part of me unaware that sometimes sharing problems with someone doesn't necessarily mean they will laugh at you,
I don't really know where Mami took your dad at first, she called me barely 5days ago and I couldn't tell you because m..........we weren't in good time, I've hurt you I know and I'm sorry, I was so mad at you yesterday that.......jannah paused with a sigh and wipe her tears with the back of her hand.
"I just wanted you death so I took the Amulet Mami gave to me one certain time and place it under your pillow as she instructed, I'm sorry.
Everything she seems to be saying just seems so slow to him because he could barely comprehend a thing she is sayin and everything seems to be spinning out of control to him and he passed out.
Pacing in front of the hospital room jannah sigh as she facepalm, faisal phone rings and she sees Ani written on the screen and she shake her head, it rings again and she answer already knowing who's on the line, but it isn't Anisa she die during delivery but gave birth to twin a boy and a girl, jannah releases a heavy breathe with a sigh,
It's so scary how women will give birth and loss there life, the doctor comes out of the ICU and jannah rushed to him.
Faisal is in coma as he say and the chances of him living is slim because there's no detection whatsoever it is that is doing him, Jannah sigh she's confused and scared.
She feel so responsible for everything happening,
Faisal phone rings and she quickly answer there isn't a word from the other line so she hang up, it rings again and she answer.
"Hello."she say and there's a faint voice from the background which she recognized as Mami, the call was ended and jannah call the police officer he told her he is about calling her and that they have gotten information about Mami's whereabouts.
Afternoon passed, evening swing in and so is night, nothing happened, faisal remain in coma while mami and faisal dad is yet to be found.
She was sitting in the hospital reception just staring at the wall clock, she's been sitting rooted in that position for the past 3hours, she is restless Ammah cross her mind so she head to the hospital room, she stare at Ammah for a while and she think of the last time she spoke with Aneel and shake her head before exiting the hospital room, jannah spend the night gallivanting from faisal room to Ammah room, she is responsible for eithe of the two condition,
How unlucky can she be.
Early morning of the next day which is Friday Jannah received a call from the officer, they have gotten location and are headed to where Mami is said to be hiding, within a blink of an eye she climb the car and head straight there.
They say we never know how hurt a person is until we are in there place, Mami wakes up to feeling sick, part of her left side of the body numb, she doesn't want to believe anyone is responsible but how can she not when her mind is always suspicious of one thing or the other, she is on the phone with her sorcerer when the gate to the house barge open, she didn't move from her position, she saw jannah and the men in black uniform follow, she rush inside and jannah couldn't help but notice how funny Mami walking step is and she find herself chuckling.
Wether or not his condition was from the almighty or not he wakes up today feeling a lot more better not physically but psychologically.
He was sitting on the wheelchair where Mami kept him earlier this morning and the bedroom door open, she walk in and he couldn't help but notice the change in her physical appearance.
"This is all your fault."Mami say and even her mouth was affected so one could barely understand her.
"I don't know what is it you are saying but I just want you to know whatever it is that you do to faisal you do it to yourself because..........
"You took my child away from me that night I wasn't opportune to see him and you think you and your wife will then have a happy life,
I loved you......
"You were obsessed not in love,
And getting you pregnant was the biggest mistake of my life and that child I took away from you and he died I lied because that child is faisal,
Anisa's son died he didn't make it during the delivery, you gave birth same night as she and I took your baby to her because I don't know how she was going to react moreover you never care about the child, you collected a 5million Naira ransom from me in exchange for me to keep the baby after you have birth, God do his thing the way he wanted and I was sure had it been i didn't tell Anisa the truth that day she Would be alive today because she was hurt and couldn't take it anymore, it was too sensitive for her to imagine a child she cried and breastfeed wasn't hers you are a bad mother you wouldn't know."
"Faisal is my son?"she ask as the bedroom Door open.
"He is and whatever you do to him you do it for yourself, I Wi make sure he never find out the truth."he say as the police officer enter the bedroom they took Mami with them as she yell saying all sort of profanities, faisal dad was taken to the hospital for proper check up.

2weeks passed and there wasn't much improvement in faisal health, Ammah on the other hand is recovering but gradually some days she looks okay other days she becomes extremely sick, a day will not pass without Jannah crying she blames herself for everything faisal dad is ok and also dealing with all the damage Mami has caused the entire family, Anisa's daughter was brought to Jannah she hate that children aren't to be blamed for there parent mistakes, she takes the little girl while the boy is with his maternal Grandparent,
Mami was thrown the jail and will probably be there for the rest of her life with her partly paralysed body,
It's a Sunday evening Jannah went to check on her father in law who now brought back his old wife that Mami makes him send her out, they look like a happy couple and that's all that matters to her, she want to create time to go and apologize to Lawrat, she has called her junior siblings and even though she didn't apologize she make sure to call them once in a while she is mending her relationships with everyone except the one person she want to badly mend with barely acknowledge wether or not she is present, she drive to the hospital and head to Ammah's room today the little girl looks all excited even though she could barely speak.
"Ammah."jannah called entering the room where Ammah was sitting with the nurse, she's become conversant with most of the workers and the amount of money spent weekly on faisal and Ammah would be really huge, she feared if this continued the time faisal gained Consciousness he would be bankrupt.
"Ma...ma," Ammah says and Jannah's eyes widen.
"Say that again, please."
"Mama," she calls and Jannah hugs her, she cries as she tells her daughter how much she loves her, it was a really good day for Jannah she checked on faisal and headed for the daycare to take Anisa's daughter who hasn't been name yet but Jannah call her baby, she barely makes it to the daycare centre when she received a call from the hospital with an unexpected news.
