2# Confrontation

Mario let go of Luigi's arm as the crowd was now dancing on the music. Luigi couldn't believe his eyes, Bowser ? Here ? And no one else saw him ???

Mario patted his shoulder, not noticing Luigi worrying

"Alright Lulu, I'm heading to the buffet, I saw some jelly filled donuts !"

The red plumber then run away, his mouth watering

Luigi rubbed his cheeks to regain composure

"Do I have to do something...? If I try to warn the people, they could panic... I'll take care of this myself!"

Driven by his adrenaline, Luigi danced his way out of the ballroom and ended up in the castle's long and quiet corridors. He could still hear the music, muffled by the walls. The green one breathed in and out to calm down

"Waddya doing ?"

Luigi screamed in terror and jumped back, tripping on the expensive carpet

Apparently, Daisy followed him

"H-ho...hey!"

"What's wrong bud? You look stressed"

"I'm f-fine ! Everything's fine!"

Luigi was stuttering, looking at Daisy that was staring at him maliciously

The suddenly, Daisy's face switched to an angry frown as a menacing shadow was appearing

A deep and rugged voice boomed behind Luigi

"Wasn't expecting the tomboy too..."

Bowser was in a white tuxedo with a top hat, the same outfit he weared when he tried to marry Peach by force

"Ugh!" Daisy sighted in annoyance

"Why don't you just leave us alone for once!"

She pushed Luigi behind her in a protective move

Bowser looked at them haughtingly

"I'm not here for mischief, but for business"

He took a step towards the duo, towering them with his huge and muscular body. Yet, this left the princess unimpressed

Luigi wasn't moving at all, completely paralyzed

"Okay...then what do you want from us !?"

Daisy asked teasingly

"You guys will work for me, and this will take effect immediately" replied Bowser

He then snapped his fingers and a bunch of koopas revealed themselves, previously hidden among the furnitures of the castle

"Or else there will be consequences"

Luigi gasped, even Daisy was surprised by the sudden changement of pressure

"So? What will it be?" Bowser was coldly laughing, glaring at the two

"THINK FAST SUCKER!!"

In a movement, Daisy used a Fire flower; her outfit turning white and orange; and was now shooting fireball at the king koopa

Bowser protected himself from the attack but his sleeve was burned

"YOU'LL PAY THIS YOU DUMB THOTTICUS!"

The koopas attacked Daisy and Luigi, but the princess, shooting fireball at them, forced the foes to flee. However while she wasn't looking, Bowser grabbed the green man

"Daisy!! Help!"

Daisy opened her purse, and throwed something at Luigi

Bowser gasped in disbelief

"An elephant fruit?!"

The power up touched the plumber, making him become heavier and bigger, turning into...an elephant!

"Wowie zowie!" Shouted Luigi as he was now the size of the turtle

He proceeded to fling his trunk in the air, hitting Bowser in the face

Suddenly, the door opened, Mario, Peach and the guests were here

"What the heck is happening?!" Screamed Mario

Peach gasped when seeing Bowser struggling on the floor

"Daisy! Luigi! Is everything alright? Why is he here?"

The orange lady and the green elephant looked at them

This gave just enough momentum to Bowser to get up and hit Luigi in the stomach, propulsing his pachydermy body on Daisy, knocking both of them out and making them loose their power ups

"Good heavens!" Screamed Peach

Bowser then grabbed Mario by the neck and throwed him on the wall, closing the doors to keep anyone else from seeing what was happening

Mario growned trying to get up but the koopa was already pinning him on the wall, his sharp claws dangerously close to his throat

"Bowser...stop..."

Luigi was trying his best to speak properly

"We'll... I will help you, b-but, leave him alone..."

Bowser smirked and dropped Mario on the head, knocking him out too

"You choose to cooperate after all..."

He crouched down, his crimson eyes burning the back of Luigi's skull

"W-what...do you want?"

Bowser chuckled

"I heard from trustworthy sources, that you had some privileged contacts with people I'm interested in...so, you'll help me meet them. And don't try anything stupid, cause I'll always have an eye on you"

Luigi nodded weakly

"Good"

All of the sudden, the door exploded, revealing Peach holding a Bob-omb Bazooka

Bowser grinned, glaring at her

"If it isn't my delicious princess-"

With no further ado, Peach pressed the trigger, exploding the king and sending him flying by the window

She then hurried to check on the fallen heroes

"Oh my..."

She checked on Mario and Daisy's pulse and sighted in relief

"They just need some rest...and a 1up mushroom"

The sun was peeking through the curtains of Luigi's window, making him slowly open his eyes and stretching

He yawned, and sat on his bed
One by one, the memories of the previous night were coming back to him

"Oh my head hurts..."

A smell of beacons began to fill the room

Luigi, intrigued, opened the door and went downstairs, where Mario was preparing breakfast

"Morning sleepyhead!"

Luigi greeted him back, Daisy was at the table, drinking some hot milk

Luigi sat down as Mario was serving some scrambled eggs

"Are we going to talk about what happened last night?" Asked Luigi, uneasy

Daisy coughed a bit and Mario stayed silent

The front door opened, revealing Peach with a big coat and a beret

"I brought the brioche !"

She closed the door and sat down with the others

"Did I missed something?"
