Poem of Perfection

She looks in the mirror to see her reflection
A beautiful painting,  a picture of perfection
With each stroke of her paint brush she erased all flaws
Making sure it's worthy of the heartfelt applause
A tendril of hair hanging loose
Quickly tucked in before the world can see through her ruse

A bright smile plastered,  the belle of the ball
Look once,  it's there
Look twice,  a sneer
The picture keeps changing the more you stare
Is her beauty all that is there?

Playing different characters at the same circus
You don't seem to know your focus
Did the fairy godmother leave you dry?
So you worked your own magic,  hocus pocus.

How do you keep up with all these lies?
Your mirror is blurred
You can't remember which side you stand
You can't recall when you've been merged
That's okay though,  you look grand

It doesn't matter if you're the poisonous witch
If you look pretty while killing him
Better yet,  just be rich.
