Chapter 13- surprises

When I awoke the next morning, it was to someone singing a familiar song. THE LLAMA SONG! I love that song. But who the hell is singing it? Oh that's right. The owner of this place. I started mumbling some of the words to show this dude I am awake. That coughing thing to get noticed seems rude in my eyes. >.< 

" Did you ever see a llama, Kiss a llama, On the llama, Llama's llama ,Tastes of llama ,Llama llama Duck" I sang. When I had fully opened my eyes I saw a small boy who only looked around 10. Bugger. I invaded a little kids home! Maybe! The boy was only like 4ft 8 or somewhere near that hight. He had fluffy light brown hair which curled slightly at the ends, bright greeny blue eyes and was wearing really muddy clothes. 

"Erm. Sorry for intruding." I awkwardly said, sitting up from my sleeping position. The kid looked round at me and smiled.  

"It's okay. I would've woke you up but that felt mean. I'm James." He said with a chirpy voice. James seems really nice. I gave him a smile. 

"I'm Niall." I said. "Sorry for taking one of your drinks. I'll get you another one as soon as I can find my way home." I planned.  

"Nah it's okay I've got plenty more." He said, taking a seat next to me on the sofa. "So tell me. What brings a leprechaun like you to the wood." I let out a chuckle as he called me a leprechaun. 

"Well I decided to go for a walk and maybe got just a little kinda lost. I walked for a bit longer and found this place so I decided to crash here for the night and try find my way home later in the morning." I told him. 

"Alright. Tell me where you live and I could direct you home. If you don't mind," he rushed the last bit.  

"I'd really like that thanks. But do you think we could grab a bite to eat? Sorry I'm just really hungry." I smirk a little and as if on cue, my belly lets out a really loud grumble. We both chuckle for a few seconds before James talks. 

"Sure, as long as you pay me back." He told me. Of course I agreed to paying him back and we both took our long walk back to life. It took around 3 hours but I liked the walk. It was nice and relaxing. I wasn't even knackered at the end. I'm late for school. That's for sure. it's around 10 am. I don't really know.  

When we got in to the food shopping part of London, we had a McDonald's, with James paying (I promised to pay back as soon as I get back home).  

"Where are your parents?" I ask while stuffing down my third load of chips. 

"I don't know. They just kicked me out the house when I was 7 so I've been homeless since then." He shrugged. 

"Then how'd you get all the gadgets and money?" I ask curiously. 

"My auntie took me back to her house a few months ago and because she's loaded, she gave me a bank account. I'm still using it. She puts £500 in there every month." James explained. 

"Oh. Why don't you just rent out a hotel room?"  

"I don't feel at home in places like that. I'm a person who likes the outdoors. I feel so cramped inside." He said and we finished up eating. We walked back to my house where I knew no one was home because there was no car in the drive and mum and Greg were at work. Damn I'm a lonely fucker. 

"Well this is it. I'll go get some money to pay you. If you ever need a home, come and visit. I think mum would love you." I smiled. We gave each other a hug, I payed him and we went separate ways. I feel so bad for leaving him. I'm sure he'll do ok.  

When I got into the house, I showered, changed into my uniform and ate some more food before leaving for school. The walk was lonely and the only thing to occupy me was my music on my phone. One song came on that I recognized instantly. Iris by GooGoo Dolls. I love this song. My favourite bit was coming up so I decided to shout it about to the world. :)
