A friendly reminder to not trust what the characters say or think! Sometimes when they make assumptions, they might not always be right ;)

Also I was finally able to see the FNAF movie over the weekend and OH MY GOSH IT WAS AMAZING. I LOVED EVERY SECOND. IT'S BEEN 8 LONG YEARS AND I ALMOST CAN'T BELEIVE HOW FAR THIS SERIES HAS COME. ALL THE SCRIPT REWRITES WERE WORTH IT BECAUSE IT WAS SUCH FUN TO WATCH AND TRY AND PIECE TOGETHER THE NEW MYSTERY. The best part is that some things are still left unanswered which is a good thing when it comes to FNAF >:)

Did you see it? What did you think? What is what you hoped for or were some parts lacking?

And I hope y'all have been well! I've been so busy with school that I can barely write anymore but the week between updates is really saving me (and this is the 'easy' part of the course, haha!).

(Next update will be on November 13th)

Now I've been talking enough! On with the show!

Water sloshed as Acantha leapt up, followed by Hawker, Demi, and Taproot. Shouts and screams sounded after their ascent coming from both friend and foe. Ghost could hear orders being shouted:

     "Get more lanterns!"

     "How'd they get in!?"

     "Alert Gomphus!"

"NO!" roared Hawker, "Don't let them escape!" It took a moment for Ghost to realize that he was talking about the enemy DartWings, not Eight and Taproot. By the time he did, he found himself halfway up the hole, the sounds of the fight reaching him.

It was dim. His enhanced sight could see much better than they could, but his brain struggled to make sense of what was in front of him. A writhing mass of wings – red, green, and blue – rolled in front of him. It didn't help that his limbs felt as unsteady as twigs, barely strong enough to hold him steady.

But it was Eight's shriek of, "Ghost!" that pulled him from his paralysis. He saw her blocking a DartWing's punches aimed at her head, but he had distracted her enough for the DartWing to clip her horn.

Fear pulsed in his veins. He couldn't be the cause of her misery, again. She'd leapt into danger for him and gotten caught as a result – he couldn't call himself her friend if he wasn't willing to do the same.

Ghost shot forward to help, heart in his throat, but he mistimed it and his snout was smacked by someone's tail. Then Demi shrieked Taproot's name, cut off by the rustle of leaves blooming. Someone screamed in agony, but Ghost couldn't process that because sharp branches were pushing him into cold metal (metal?) bars.

Distantly, he was somehow able to recognize the sound of Eight grunting in pain. It spurred him forward and he found a way to climb up the bars and along the cage wall to the other side. The prison appeared to be sets of cages with hallways intersecting in a cross in the middle, forming four alleys to fight in, but Taproot's tree had sprouted from the center, cutting escape from the other sides off.

Eight was to his left. Ghost dropped down from the bars at the same moment a second DartWing materialized from the wall. Ghost had no time to think about where it had emerged from before he was pinned to the ground.

He reacted without thinking. As the DartWing reared up to line up its wings for a punch, his tail snaked around its hind leg and settled on its stomach. The dragon didn't even notice it before he shocked it, his light filling the whole room and hurting his sensitive eyes – but hopefully distracting everyone else, too.
