Falling

Chapter 4

I smiled at him, he had on a black suit with a white undershirt, and a red tie. I blushed slightly because, I kind of just checked him out. I take the water when he hands it to me,

"Thank you..." I say as we get out of line. He smiles at me, and says,

"You're welcome... what's your name?"

"Elena, and what is your name?"

"Trenton, it's nice to meet you Elena." He smiles again which makes me smile back at him, his smile is so cute. I take a drink of water and walk back into the gym with him and look around for Cassidy.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"You just did." I smile widely, but blush,( oh nice Elena, what is wrong with you?) He just chuckles and shakes his head,

"Where is your date?" He leans against the wall looking at me, I smile at him and look around the room.

"Well, I just went with my best friend, Cassidy, but she started dancing with this guy, Shane, and I can't find her actually." (Great I sound like a loner, good one.) He chuckles,

"I just went with a couple of my friends, but they all found girls to follow around. Umm... I was wondering, do you want to dance with me?" He flashes me a smile, (Did he really just ask me to dance with him? Someone pinch me. Elena, answer him already.) I smile widely up at him and nod,

"I'd love to." We walk onto the dance floor and start dancing, laughing at each other's crazy moves.

The dance ends, and Trenton and I are still talking and laughing, I finally see Cassidy with Shane.

"I had a really fun time with you Trenton." We smile at each other.

"I did too Elena.. I was wondering if-" He gets cut off by one of his friends dragging him outside laughing, we keep eye contact with each other, him giving me an apologetic look, and he makes it outside. I walk over to Cassidy who is saying goodbye to Shane. She turns to face me, smiling,

"Elena, I got his number!" she giggles and shows me her phone. I smile at her and look,

"Really?! That's awesome!" We both giggle.

"Who was that guy you were dancing with El?" she says as we walk outside.

"His name is Trenton." I smile widely at her, I'll remember this for forever.

"Aww! You guys looked so cute, did you exchange numbers?"

"No, his friends dragged him out, before we could." I frown slightly.

"Love.. it's ok, we'll find him at school on Monday!" We got into her car and I smiled at her.

"I hope so too."

Cassidy spent the night that night and we talked about everything that happened and all that we said to each other. (What can we say? We're best friends.)
