BOY BEST FRIEND 5/13/11

You were the newest friend I made that first day

At first you were so shy and timid

As the days passed we started loosening up

With your corny jokes and ridiculous antics

You somehow managed to let my guard down

You never fail to make me smile

You’re always there for me whatever happens

We’re partners in everything

From P.E. class dances to solving equations

I teach you English while you teach me math

You’re that missing puzzle in my high school life

Since the first one left me alone

It’s wrong that people say you’re his replacement

Yes, you’re kinda like who he was

But no, you’re different, you’re unique

You’re sincere, you’re real, and you’re permanent

You never left my side even if I push you away

I was being stupid again to ignore a good thing

When you’re the one that I needed

You’re not like the others, it’s strange

But I pray that you will never change

Stay who you are and please don’t disappoint me

Your sweet words and expressions are true

That’s why I’m now writing about you

Your pride is raised yet torn down at the same time

I always throw you my mischievous taunts
