newjeans' sungbin announces hiatus due to injury
we wish the best for sungbin's recovery
on november 1st, twice's nayeon and sungbin filmed their recent inkigayo perfomance for their new song 'happily ever after'. during the first chorus of the song, sungbin tripped over exposed stage equipment.
throughout the rest of the performance, he was seen limping and avoiding putting pressure on his injured leg.
a short time after the performance, ador released an official statement regarding sungbin.
"hello, this is ador.
we would like to inform you about newjeans member sungbin and his future activities. after being injured in a recent performance, sungbin recieved a thorough examination at the hospital soon after it ended.
he has sustained a torn ligmaent in his left knee along with a minor sprain in his left ankle. medical professionals have advised consevative treatment for the time being.
until his injurys have fully healed, he will not participate in any future group activities. any future promotions for tell me im dreaming have been cancelled at this moment.
