𝙎𝙐𝙉𝙁𝙇𝙊𝙒𝙀𝙍, 𝙇𝙐𝘾𝘼𝙎 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝙆𝙀𝙍 (𝙂𝙊𝙊𝙎𝙀𝘽𝙐𝙈𝙋𝙎)

leilani, lucas, justin, dylan, and naomi all sat in a booth as they looked over their menu's. nora was too shaken up to tag along for the victory dinner, but lucas gladly came along.

leilani could only shoot her parents warning glares as they tried asking lucas 'simple questions' but she saw right through them. lucas didn't think much of it as he answered, but leilani and justin saw it all.

"so you like skateboarding?" dylan asked and lucas smiled. "yeah, i've been skating ever since i was young, i like things like that. i dirt bike too." lucas nodded. leilani was practically holding her breath, watching as her dad and lucas spoke. "you're just like your father." dylan spoke, this really gained the boys interest. "you knew my dad?" lucas asked in shock. "yeah. he was a senior, i was a freshman. he and i both went to this skate park and he taught me how to skate." dylan said. "and that's how i started skating. dad had old skateboards in his garage, i grabbed one and he taught me all i know about skating." justin added in.

naomi and leilani made eye contact, smiling at each other, watching as the boys spoke about skating.

the rest of the night went really well, it was just the teens and leilani's parent talking about anything they could. justin would nudge leilani to tease her every now and then when he caught her staring at lucas' side profile as he laughed at something her mom or dad would say. but she was just brush him off and act as if she wasn't staring.

the next day it was practice for the football team and leilani had told lucas to meet her on the bleachers since she didn't hang out as much with him that day. and justin was her ride home so it was either waiting for him, or taking a twenty minute walk home.

as she typed on the computer, her focus was taken by lucas calling her. "lei!" her heart skipped a beat. she hadn't stopped thinking of lucas since the day before. it was the fact that she had been on great terms with nora and lucas got along with her family which really made her happy. she was happy to have another friend to hang out with other than justin. it was like a perfect approval from both sides of the family.

"hey lucas!" she smiled up at him as he came by and sat beside her. "what are you typing?" he asked, she instantly closed her laptop. "just journaling on my laptop since i left my journal at home." she admitted. "you write in a journal? like, willingly?" he asked her as if she was crazy. "yeah it's relaxing and sometimes fun! you should try." leilani defended herself. "no way. it sounds boring. you should come skating with me and justin tonight." he invited her, watching as her eyes widened. "you guys made plans without me?" she asked, making lucas' face twist in realization. the boy held his hands up in defense. "justin said you wouldn't want to go because you thought skating was stupid!" lucas aired the boy out.

"wha—i don't think skating is stupid! dangerous.. yeah, but i don't skate anyway, so what's the point of going?" she shrugged it off, she thought i'd be better for justin and lucas to have time together as well.

though it had been almost four days of hanging out with justin, they had felt close enough to speak to each other as if they've known each other for a while. they technically did, but their knowledge of each other was much better than before.

"no, you should come. i'll teach you how to skate." lucas said, leilani turned to him as if he was crazy. "no way." she shook her head, this made lucas smile at her as he nodded. "hell yeah. it'll be fun." he nudged her, yet she was still shaking her head in disagreement. "the last time justin tried to teach me how to skate i sprained my ankle." it was five years ago, and she was "traumatized." so she never got on another skateboard again.
