Reds and Violets, what a pair they make. Their convergence felt like cosmic poetry, an unspoken elegy, a symphony of tragedies blending in a silent chorus.

Their story commenced with a torn toy ━━ a modest genesis to an intertwined tale.

For he was the boy, the rumors painted him as a child of tragedy ━━ a narrative shadowed not just by his mother's incarceration but by the accusatory glares that cast him as an outcast among his peers. His days were an intricate balancing act between protecting his younger sister and bearing the scorn of others.

And children, even amidst shared hardships, were often cruel, leaving crevices he couldn't always mend for his younger sister.

Then there was her, a heart tender despite her haunted past. Driven by an innate desire to mend what's broken, a quiet plea to heal the world's wounds in miniature ━━ perhaps in an attempt to reclaim a semblance of control over her own fractured self.

In every stitch, in every moment she offered solace to the boy's bruised knuckles and the little girl's bloody knees, she found a semblance of healing, a semblance of control over the chaos that haunted her.

In exchange, he offered an unspoken vow ━━ to defend her as fiercely as his own family. Their bond became a sanctuary, a mutual pact where they teach each other the possibility of a gentler world amidst the bruised and bloodied.

Perhaps her mother was mistaken. Perhaps a glimmer of selfishness remained in her rotting bones, even if it stemmed from a heaviness to be good.

And maybe, just maybe, love wouldn't be her undoing after all.
