Adrian Alcado
NiveousAdrian couldn't sleep. Sleep didn't come easy most days and now he was laying on a mattress with some kid he barely knows in, to quote Sebastian, 'a fairy world'. To be fair, he doubted anyone else was sleeping well but it had been an hour since they all decided to call it a night.
Sions stomach rumbled like crazy but now he's snoring softly. He tossed and turned a lot, making the thought of sleep seem more impossible to Adrian.
Why did he have to sleep next to Sion? Sebastian gets the good bed and gets to be in a bed with someone he actually knows, and is likely dating.
Whatever.
Adrian stayed laying on his back for a long time, slowly noticing his peers around him, falling to sleep.
His stomach growled and he quietly sighed, deciding he couldn't take the slow torture anymore, he sat up. The room was pitch black, not even the light from the glowing forest could light up the room because Amber covered the windows.
Adrian really wanted to see the forest again. Knowing he couldn't leave the room, he stood and slowly made his way to where he remembered seeing a window. He felt around the wall till he felt fabric. Instead of pulling the curtains open, he stood between the curtains in the wall to let as little light into the room.
The forest sparkled like the last time he'd seen it during the night. He couldn't take his eyes off. There were glowing creatures, small creatures running through the tall grass and some strangely adorable animals. Everything was so warm and inviting.
He wondered if each forest was this alive. What did they look like?
"What are you doing, Alcado," Adrian heard Sebastian aggressively whisper. He pulled back the curtains to see Sebastian sleepily sitting on the side of his bed.
"Couldn't sleep." Adrian shrugged before turning his attention back to the forest. "Did I wake you?"
Sebastian shakes his head when Adrian glances back at him. "Can't sleep either."
Adrian waved him over, "come look at the forest."
Sebastian looked reluctant but he did stand up and make his way to the window. Adrian dropped the curtain behind them, his eyes still glued to the forest outside.
Neither of them spoke. They stood in silence and stared out the window.
A while later and neither of them were ready to sleep. So they talked. Both procrastinating sleep, they ignored their 'hatred' for each other.
Exhaustion and hysterical laughing maybe was a sign the pair were overtired. When Sakiya woke up and hissed at Sebastian for waking her up, he went and laid down. Adrian sat at the window till he could hear Sebastian had fallen asleep. All he could think about was how terrified he was but, it didn't seem he was scared of the whole trapped in another realm situation. Amber felt trapped but Adrian felt free.
Adrian opened his eyes to Amber, opening the blinds. He could hear both Sion and Sebastian groan in response to the light. He rolled onto his side and sighed.
Judyta was braiding her hair in a dusty mirror and Sakiya looked zoned out on her bed.
"Rise and shine," Amber said all too brightly.
"Amber we have literally nothing to do, might as well sleep," Sebastian growled.
"Incorrect," she said. Her hair was already done up in a ponytail and her uniform looked perfect despite it being the clothes she slept in. "We have lots of research to do! There's gotta be a library somewhere in this castle and there will be tons of books." Sebastian sighed before face planting into his pillow. Amber continued, "Bellātor may have managed to hide this world's existence and their history but there's no way we won't be able to find history books here!"
