Chapter 8: Quiet Time Together

It had been a few weeks since Lexi had made her return and James couldn't be more proud of her as he knew that she had been looking forward to getting back to pro wrestling.

It was the afternoon and James was in his office at his record store and he was putting together a special surprise for Lexi as it was her birthday soon and he had just gotten done with talking to somebody on the phone.

James was smiling as he then had an idea to send Lexi a bouquet of flowers along with a note and so he set about doing just that.

Many hours later......

Lexi was currently at home after working out and she had just come downstairs after having a shower and changing into some clothes.

As she came down the stairs, she heard a knock at her front door and she went over to answer it.

As she opened the door, she saw that there was a bouquet of flowers along with a note.

Lexi picked the flowers up and she looked around and then she closed her door behind her when she went back inside.

The realisation of who sent the flowers and note came as she placed the flowers in a vase and gave them some water and then picked up the note to read it.

To my gorgeous girl !

Lexi: my sweet man.

Lexi smiled as she opened the note to read it.

Hey Lex,
Here I am in my office at work and I thought that I'd send you some flowers because I'd got to thinking about how you had been looking forward to making your return to wrestling.

It makes me so happy to know that your back doing what you do best and I can tell that you are happy about it too.
I love seeing that beautiful smile of yours on your face.

I was also thinking back to the day that we first met when you were still in nxt and you had blue in your hair.
We got along so quickly and we became best friends so quickly that it was a surprise to me albeit a very welcome me one.
And now we are together and in love with each other and I've never been so sure of anything in my life when I see our future together which makes me smile from ear to ear.

I love you so much gorgeous and I hope you like the flowers.

Lexi held the note to her chest as she smiled from ear to ear thinking about how much she loves James.

She then had an idea in her head as she knew that there was a spare key to James' place that he had given her for her to use as she had been staying the night at his place quite often recently.

She grabbed her keys along with the spare key for James' place and she left her place and got in her car and headed to James' place to surprise him as she knew that he was getting ready to head home as he was going to be locking up and heading home.

Lexi eventually arrived at James' place and she parked her car out of sight so that James wouldn't know that she was here and she went straight up to his front door and she unlocked it and as she switched the front room light on, she was greeted by his Belgian Malinois named Charlie who is always happy to see and this was no different as he happily barked at her and she petted him.

Lexi: hey there sweet boy, how are you ?

Charlie rolled onto his back and Lexi laughed as she gave him some belly rubs.

After petting Charlie some more, Lexi stood back up and she locked the front door behind her so that James wouldn't be suspicious of a break in.

Then, a few minutes later had passed by and Lexi could hear James had finally arrived back home as he was parking his car in his garage.
