He laughs.

"Are you all fucking stupid? Why the hell would me and shitty Deku be going out? Let alone doing it? He's just a pathetic, useless, stupid piece of shit that has no better use of his time then fucking bothering me."

He keeps his eyes focused on the group, whose shoulders all seem to relax. One of the two extras smiles at him, laughing along.

"I knew it! No way you and Midoriya would be gay! That would just be crazy!"

Katsuki continues. It's too late to stop now. He can see his face in his peripheral vision, confused and hurt. Katsuki ignores it.

"Seriously, whoever started that stupid ass rumor clearly has a shit ton of time on their hands. Who would ever want to be around such a waste of space?"

One of the extras turns, seeing Deku standing there, who just keeps looking at him like he just took his heart out and stomped on it.

"Well, he looks like he has something to say Bakugou."

Katsuki glares scoffing.

"Yeah? Hey Deku,"

He calls, though he doesn't answer.

"Stop just fucking standing there and go do us all a favor. Take a swan dive off the roof of the building. At least then I don't have to look at your gross ass every day."

Tears build up in green eyes, though his mouth is completely shut. Katsuki turns away, going into the classroom, not waiting for an answer. He is followed by laughing extras, who pat his shoulder and exclaim how stupid the person who started the rumor is for making so unbelievable up.

He sits in his seat, eyes ahead. His foot taps against the floor over and over as the teacher walks in, ready to start the lesson. He eyes the door, though he knows Deku probably isn't going to show up, at least to the first period.

It's not like he fucking cares. Deku deserved it, for telling everyone that they were fucking dating even though they both agreed they would both keep it a secret. Still though, he can't shake off a certain feeling, and it just pisses him off the more he lets it stew in his gut.

Deku doesn't show up for the whole rest of the day, which Katsuki is pissed off about. He expected the piece of shit to at least try and explain shit, to beg for Katsuki's forgiveness. For him to get on his knees and apologize and say how wrong he was to tell everyone that they were dating, that he would do anything to make it up to him and that he needs to take him back because he doesn't know what he would do.

Or some shit like that. But lunch ends, the next period passes, and the end of the school day rolls around. Still no sign of Deku. Everyone starts to pack up, talking loudly and making plans. Those people include the two goons that always follow him around.

"You wanna go to the arcade today Bakugou?"

The sentence makes a certain feeling wash over him. A feeling that twists his gut and makes him feel sick because of how... normal it sounds. But a different kind of normal. He forgot that he hasn't really hung out with these losers since Deku and him got together, always ditching them to go on dates.

Hearing about going to the arcade with them like he used to do all the fucking time makes him feel like... he's going back into some kind of cycle.

"Like I would wanna go anywhere with you fucking losers."

They laugh, both continuing their own conversation as they all walk out the classroom.

As he looks through the crowded halls, he has an underlying hope that he'll see Deku. If he does, he could just ditch these extras right now and track him down. Demand an answer as to why he decided to make Katsuki look like an idiot.

But he doesn't see him. Despite what he said before, he is still waiting at the lockers as the two extras take their sweet fucking time getting the rest of their stuff from their lockers. Students are quickly out of the school, leaving only a few to linger in the halls and classrooms.

It's then that he sees dark green curls walking down the hall towards the staircase leading to the second floor of the school. Katsuki is confused as to what the hell he's doing, and his eyes catch something shiny in his hand. A key.

He only sees it for a second, because the nerd must have felt someone watching him. He quickly puts it in his pocket and turns his head, looking back at Katsuki. Even from all the way down the hall, Katsuki can see the red puffiness around his eyes and the way they are bloodshot.

Even the flush in his cheeks compared to his now slightly pale skin. He looks like shit, and Katsuki knows from a thousand times before that he had just got done crying up a fucking storm. He stares into green eyes, and Deku stares back.

A minute passes, before Deku turns away, going up the stairs. Katsuki watches him until he disappears from his sight.

"Are you still down to go to the arcade Bakugo?"

He snaps back to the two extras, who finally have all their shit packed. He kicks off from the wall, standing properly now.

"No. I'm going to study."

He walks past them without waiting for an answer. But they call after him anyway.

"Okay! Good luck!"

"Good luck!"

He has a bad feeling, but he doesn't know why. He ignores it, figuring if its anything Deku related, he can just burn some time studying and wait for him to finish doing whatever the fuck he's doing.

So he finds one of the classrooms that are open after school for students wanting to study and sits down at one of the desks. There are some people in the room with him, so he decides that when he is the last one in the classroom, he'll leave.
