dormant

you were like a volcano in my heart,
now so dormant, i wished you were immortal.
the ashes of the dark buried deep within me,
are my memories of your blazing fire in the start.

you were like drizzles up my skin,
once so gentle, now i miss your presence.
now every pounding rain, every pitter-patter,
reminds me of how you stole my heart with the rhythm you played.

you were the tingling joy up my spine,
every giggle was real, so was every tear,
but now when I feel myself smile,
i feel myself numbing to the growing fear.

you were also my despair,
your words were my principles,
your actions stitched my heart back together,
only to realise, that you're no longer real, you are a memory with no name, one with no worth.
