Deep End

Two-faced

One is smiling

Feeling happy

Looking like a perfect little girl

Who hasn't been ruined by this world

One is crying

In a pit so deep

I can't climb out

I can barely breathe

The smile is fake

The tears are real

The happiness is a little snake

Spreading the poison

As the tears are crystal diamonds

Scraping down my face

Into an ocean of blood, I cried

All alone

I ask you to meet me at midnight

I waited for you

But you never appear

You never show

You were never even there

Not a single trace

I have to pack up everything I am

Just to move on

I have to change

I try for the better

Just so I can lean on

Just so I have a hand to hold

I lost sight of myself

As you leave me, feeling so cold

Cold to the touch

I can't help but tremble

Shivers running down my spine

You ask if I'm alright

I say "I'm fine, I'm fine"

"Everything is fine"
That's a lie

I'm not fine

All I do is hide

I hide in the darkness that seems so safe

Just from a distance

A distance so far away

Then I get into reach

Now I'm in so deep

I don't find a point in making amends

I don't find a point in being me around my friends

Because I don't know what I am

I don't know who I am

I can't understand

No one understands

I fall in love

I'm overjoyed

Then I'm in tears

Because I was played like a child's toy

I'm lost in the void

It's hard to avoid

All these issues

They surround me

Because when you come around

And I begged

For you to please not

But you did anyways

You dragged me down,

To the Deep End
