"Well, then just fuck off Micah!"

You yell at the hurt man displayed on your screen. You were in a mood, but regret fills you as you see his hurt, beautiful face. You quickly end the call by clicking the red button on your screen.

You shut off your bright phone as tears run down your cheeks. You felt foggy and hurt. Micah hadn't done anything wrong; he just said the wrong thing at the wrong time.

The more you think about it, the more you realize that he didn't mean it, and you just took it the wrong way. Guilt fills your head, and even your lips, which you were subconsciously biting to hold back sobs, were practically growing numb.

That's when you decided to try to collect yourself and your thoughts. Even if it was hard, the ever-growing headache was all you could feel, and that was motivating you. But more so the fact that you needed to set things right with Micah. You brushed off the wet droplets from your soft damp cheeks and turned on your phone before it was too late. Hesitantly, you opened the app displayed on your bright screen, 'Error143'.

You instantly felt your heart drop as Micah's status read 'Offline'. The thought of him never coming back consumed your mind as you frantically tried to think of something else. You hoped he wouldn't leave because you yelled at him, but remembering how sensitive he could be, it wasn't impossible. You prayed he knew you didn't mean anything you said and that it was just the heat of the moment. You knew him well enough to realize that, and you just hoped he knew you well enough too.

You needed something to distract your mind from that before you could send him a text explaining everything. You knew that right now, you weren't in your right mind, and you might have written too much or said the wrong thing. As a way to calm yourself, you slowly scrolled through your old messages.

It worked well as a way to distract yourself and calm down, but the further you read back, the more tears subconsciously fell down your already damp face. You missed him so badly. You wanted him so badly. And yet, the one time you needed him most, he wasn't there. Because you pushed him away, like you always do.

A familiar 'Ding!' noise snapped you out of your trance-like mindset, and your body instinctively flinched in surprise. You realized it was Micah; he was back.

You should feel relief and joy, right? But you couldn't help feeling the worries and sorrow crawling into your head. What if he wanted to break up? You couldn't bear to read that message, but it was hard to think about anything else.

Eventually, you heard a few more pings, and the longer you waited, the more texts piled up. Your worries grew larger as your body froze up, but you found the courage to read them. Your shaky hand swipes your screen, marking the messages as read.

"Hey, Angel. I'm sorry about everything."
"I don't want us to break up, but if that's what you want, I will respect that."
"I can see you online btw..."
"Too scared to read them? >:3"
"Dw, I'm scared sending these, haha..."
"I love you, Angel. < 3"

You swore your heart stopped for a second as you continued to read the messages, but in a good way! Your heart felt warm and full again, and you subconsciously let out the breath you had been holding in, sighing in relief. You didn't even know what to say.

"I love you too!!!!!! I don't want us to ever break up. I love you so much, Micah!! <3333333333333"

No, that's cringy. You laughed out for a second at even the thought, but then again, he does like a bit of cringe. In the end, you decided to tone it down.

After a few versions of the same message, you decided on something simple.

"I feel the same, Micah."
"I love you so much <3"

Honestly, you'd never been so nervous to send a text. But you knew he loved you, and you'd feel bad leaving him hanging for any longer. So you tapped 'enter' on your screen, sending the message to him. Although you felt a bit of relief sending it, you couldn't help but worry if it was enough.

Soon after, you got a call from Micah. The soft ringtone filled your ears as the familiar pop-up appeared, and you hesitantly accepted the call.

As you clicked, his hurt face expanded into your screen. He didn't realize you had joined at first; all his attention was focused on the purring feline sitting in his lap. His hands softly caressing the cat, before his attention turned to you as he finally noticed you.

"Angel..? Are you there?" Micah asked out to you with a bit of uncertainty in his voice. A worried expression was present on his face.

"..Hi, my love." You finally answered, your soft voice sending a wave of relief over him. His eyes quickly light up, but the light fades just as quickly as it appeared. His expression turned into one of worry again, and you couldn't help but notice something else in his eyes too. Guilt.

"Hi. I'm sorry-" he starts, his voice laced with worry.

"I know you didn't mean it. But I just... I was worried I upset you. I didn't mean to be a pain. And I thought I ruined everything," he continues, looking down at Skrunkly. His hurt face alone shatters your heart. You just want to tell him that everything is alright and that you love him more than he could imagine. You hope he knows that, but then the dreaded question leaves his mouth.

"Angel, do you still love me?"
