Jimin's fingers tapped anxiously on his phone as he stared at Y/n's selfie. Shock and frustration gripped him, seeing her in a revealing black dress that he hadn't expected. He immediately dialed her number, the anger evident in his voice.
The first few rings went unanswered, fueling Jimin's frustration. He muttered to himself, "Why would she do this without telling me? Does she not care about how I feel?"
Finally, Y/n answered the call, and Jimin wasted no time expressing his displeasure. "Y/n, what the hell? You couldn't even bother to inform me beforehand? What's the matter with you?"
Y/n, sensing his anger, rushed to explain, "Jimin, I'm sorry. Taehyung insisted on keeping it a surprise. I tried to call, but you didn't answer."
Jimin's irritation lingered, "A surprise? Y/n, this isn't something you surprise someone with, especially when you know how I feel about you going out late and in revealing outfits."
Y/n sighed, "Jimin, it's just a party. Taehyung said not to worry. It's not a big deal."
Jimin's tone remained stern, "It is a big deal to me, Y/n. You know I worry about you. And don't let Taehyung dictate everything. You could have told me."
Y/n attempted to ease the tension, "Jimin, I promise, I'll be careful. It's just one night."
Jimin huffed, "One night or not, it doesn't change how I feel. I wish you had considered that."
Y/n, realizing the gravity of the situation, tried to placate him, "Jimin, please, don't be angry. I didn't mean to upset you. I'll talk to you after the party, okay?"
Jimin reluctantly agreed, "Fine. But after the party, we're having a serious talk about this. Take care of yourself."
After Jimin demanded to put the phone on speaker, Taehyung nervously greeted him, "Hi, Jimin."
Jimin, unable to contain his anger, shot back, "Why are you taking her out so late and in that dress? Are you out of your mind?"
Taehyung tried to reassure Jimin, "It's just a party, Jimin. Nothing to worry about."
Jimin, however, was not convinced and issued a stern warning, "Take care of her, Taehyung. I mean it."
Unexpectedly, Taehyung's calm demeanor shattered, and he retorted angrily, "Yeah, I know how to take care of her. I've known her longer than you have. You're not the only one who cares about her."
Both Y/n and Jimin were taken aback by Taehyung's sudden outburst. The atmosphere turned tense, and sensing the escalating tension, Jimin decided to end the call abruptly, leaving everyone in a state of bewilderment.
Y/n glanced at Taehyung, bewildered by his unexpected reaction. The car ride, which had started with enthusiasm, had taken an unexpected turn, and Y/n couldn't help but worry about the repercussions of this confrontation on her relationships with both Jimin and Taehyung.
Taehyung's unexpected outburst left Y/n stunned, and as he turned his anger towards her, she felt a mix of confusion and hurt.
"Why did you do that?" Y/n asked, her tone tinged with frustration.
Taehyung shot her an angry look and replied bitterly, "Oh, of course, you'll take his side, right? I'm a stranger to you. We haven't known each other since childhood. You've known Jimin for just a few days, and his feelings matter to you, but not mine, right? You never noticed my feelings. I'm a fool here."
His words hit Y/n like a sudden wave of realization. She had always considered Taehyung as her close friend, but she hadn't fully comprehended the depth of his emotions. The revelation of his feelings brought a twinge of guilt, making her reflect on her actions.
"When I asked you not to tell Jimin, you still did," Taehyung continued, his voice filled with hurt. "You don't trust me, right, Y/n?"
Y/n caught off guard, stammered, "Tae, it's not like that. I do trust you. I just—"
Taehyung cut her off, frustration evident in his voice, "No, you don't. You never considered how I feel about you. You never saw me as more than a friend, did you?" (here more than friends means family)
The weight of Taehyung's emotions sank in, and Y/n realized the depth of the situation. She had unintentionally hurt someone she considered a close companion. Guilt and regret welled up within her, and she desperately searched for words to mend the situation.
Y/n was sitting there, processing the whirlwind of emotions that Taehyung's outburst had unleashed. She felt like she had been blind to a part of their friendship that was now glaringly evident. His words echoed in her mind, and the weight of his feelings began to settle heavily on her shoulders.
She never intended to hurt Taehyung. He had always been a dear friend, a reliable companion through thick and thin. But in her whirlwind connection with Jimin, she had inadvertently overlooked the depth of Taehyung's emotions.
As she replayed his words, she couldn't shake the feeling of guilt and regret. Taehyung had accused her of not trusting him, of never considering his feelings. The realization struck her hard – she had unintentionally neglected a friend who had always been there for her.
The ache in her chest grew as she questioned herself. Had she taken Taehyung for granted? Did she truly see him as just a friend and nothing more? The answers were elusive, lost in the tumult of her emotions.
Y/n knew she had to address this, to talk to Taehyung and make him understand that she valued their friendship. Yet, she couldn't shake the uneasy feeling that she had let him down, that the foundation of their camaraderie was shaken.
Deep down, she wished she could turn back time, correct her missteps, and reassure Taehyung that he was an essential part of her life. The upcoming conversation with Taehyung loomed ahead, and Y/n couldn't shake the heaviness in her heart.
The car screeched to a sudden halt, and before Y/n could comprehend what was happening, Tae flung open the door and darted across the road without uttering a word. Confused and concerned, Y/n hurriedly unbuckled her seatbelt and rushed after him.
"Taehyung! Wait, where are you going?" she called out, but Taehyung seemed oblivious to her pleas as he navigated the chaotic traffic. The road was busy, and Y/n's heart raced with worry for Taehyung's safety.
As she reached the edge of the road, she hesitated for a moment, eyeing the speeding cars. Ignoring her own safety, she took a deep breath and followed Taehyung, determined to catch up with him and figure out the reason for his sudden departure.
The screeching of tires, the blaring horn—it all happened so fast. In a split second, Y/n pushed Taehyung out of harm's way, her actions driven by pure instinct. But as the car collided with her, everything seemed to slow down, and an intense pain shot through her body. The impact sent her sprawling to the ground, darkness closing in.
Taehyung, now on the other side of the road, turned around just in time to witness the horrifying scene. Shock and terror painted his face as he realized what Y/n had done for him. He sprinted back, yelling her name in desperation.
People from the nearby shops and pedestrians rushed to the scene, gasps escaping them as they saw Y/n lying motionless on the road. Taehyung reached her side, panic evident in his eyes as he cradled her in his arms, pleading for help.
It was a chaotic scene, filled with fear and anguish, as Y/n's fate hung in the balance.
