In the days leading up to her wedding to Prince Aric, Kennedy's once-promising future began to unravel before her eyes. The grand preparations for the royal ceremony continued, but now there were unsettling signs and red flags that couldn't be ignored.

Kennedy's doubts and concerns were not about Prince Aric's character but about his true intentions. As she observed his actions and overheard whispered conversations among the palace staff, it became increasingly clear that Prince Aric might have ulterior motives.

One evening, while she wandered the palace's opulent halls, she overheard a conversation between Prince Aric and a shadowy figure in a dimly lit corridor.

Prince Aric: (hushed tone) "Once she is mine, her wealth and the kingdom will be at my disposal. We will be the most powerful rulers in the region."

Kennedy's heart sank as she realised that her suspicions were accurate. Prince Aric was not interested in love or a genuine partnership; he saw her as a means to an end, a way to secure her wealth and status for his own gain.

Kennedy: (internal thoughts) He's a traitor, a manipulator who's using me for my family's wealth and our kingdom. I can't go through with this marriage.

In the midst of the grand preparations for the impending wedding, Prince Aric seized a rare moment alone with Kennedy. He took her to a secluded garden within the palace, its lush greenery and fragrant blooms serving as a picturesque backdrop.

Prince Aric: (smiling) "Kennedy, my love, as our wedding day approaches, I can't help but think of our future together. With your wealth and my ambition, we will be a formidable force in the region."

Kennedy: (curious) "Our future, Prince Aric? What do you envision for us?"

Prince Aric's eyes gleamed with a hidden agenda, and his words seemed to revolve around his own needs and aspirations rather than their shared future.

Prince Aric: (vague) "Kennedy, my dear, we will have everything we desire. Power, wealth, and influence—all at our fingertips."

Kennedy: (sceptical) "But what about love, Prince Aric? What about a partnership built on trust and mutual affection?"

Prince Aric's smile faltered, and he avoided her gaze, growing increasingly dodgy in his responses.

Prince Aric: (evasive) "Love, my sweet, is a luxury we can't always afford. It's the power and the kingdom that will truly secure our future."

Kennedy: (troubled) "I thought love was the foundation of a strong marriage. If you don't love me, if this is all about power and ambition, then I have serious reservations about our union."

Kennedy's pointed questions made Prince Aric uncomfortable, and he struggled to provide answers that would satisfy her concerns. It became evident that his priorities lay in power and wealth, leaving Kennedy with an unsettling feeling about the man she was supposed to marry.

As she walked away from the garden, Kennedy knew that her doubts about Prince Aric were well-founded. There was a dark and treacherous undercurrent to this impending marriage, and she couldn't ignore the red flags any longer. With a heavy heart, she confided in her sisters, Charlotte and Katherine, sharing the disturbing information she had uncovered. Her sisters, too, were troubled by this revelation.

Charlotte: (apprehensive) "Kennedy, we must find a way to protect you from this treacherous plot."

Katherine: (determined) "We won't let you be used in such a manner. We'll stand by your side, no matter what."

Kennedy: (resolute) "I can't marry him. We must find a way out of this before it's too late."

After her unsettling conversation with Prince Aric in the secluded garden, Kennedy couldn't contain her growing concern any longer. She needed to confide in someone she trusted, someone who understood the gravity of the situation. So, she sought out Ryder and his trusted friend, Oliver.

Kennedy found Ryder and Oliver in a quiet corner of the palace, hidden from prying eyes. She approached them with a heavy heart, her face marked with worry.

Kennedy: (urgently) "Ryder, Oliver, we need to talk. I've discovered something troubling about Prince Aric, and I fear it might be a matter of great importance."

Ryder: (concerned) "What's wrong, Kennedy? You look distressed."

Oliver: (curious) "You have our full attention. What's troubling you?"

Kennedy proceeded to share the details of her conversation with Prince Aric in the secluded garden. She recounted his focus on power and wealth, his disregard for love and partnership, and his evasive responses to her questions. Her voice quivered with uncertainty as she revealed her growing doubts about the man she was supposed to marry.

Kennedy: (anxious) "It's clear that he's not marrying me out of love. He sees me as a means to an end, a way to gain power and control over our kingdom."

Ryder: (serious) "Kennedy, this is a grave revelation. It suggests treachery, and we must be cautious."

Oliver: (supportive) "You've done the right thing by sharing this with us. We'll help you gather more information to ensure your safety and the kingdom's."

Kennedy: (grateful) "Thank you, both of you. We need to uncover the truth and protect our kingdom from any potential threat."

As the three of them huddled together in that secluded corner, a sense of unity and determination emerged. They were now bound by a common purpose: to expose Prince Aric's deceit, safeguard the kingdom, and ensure that love and loyalty triumphed over treachery and betrayal.
