Love Like Ghosts

Chapter 2.

[POV:Iris, 1st person]

I wake up to pounding on my door, even when I yell,

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

They didn't stop, like geeze man shut up. I open the door and there is this ghoul that is about 2-4 inches taller than me and another one that is much taller than that. They are wearing the mask I was given last night but didn't bother to put on right now because I had just woken up. The shorter one says,

"Where is your mask your meant to wear it around others."

The taller one nudges him before speaking,

"Correction, you're meant to wear it around humans, only acceptations are the Papas and Sister."

My eyes widened before I said,

"Oh, Why are you here and who are you?" The last part came out a but rude, but its not like I meant it to. The taller one spoke up before the shorter one could,

"We came to get you to meet the other ghouls, but we didn't think you'd still be sleeping. Now that you're awake though could you get dressed and meet the others?"

I eyed them both up and down before responding,

"Yes, If you tell me who you both are."

The taller one's eyes had to have widened as he put a hand over his mouth as if he was shocked,

"Why yes I would love to, my name Swiss," He stated as he reached out to grab my hand and kiss it, My eyes widened slightly due to the fact that nobody, and I mean nobody had ever done that before. After that he grinned a cocky grin from my reaction before finishing his sentence, 

"And this is Sodo," he stated while pointing at the shorter one, I waved my hand slightly before speaking softly,

"It is nice to meet you both, my name is Iris," I said while looking between both of them,

"Alright you should get ready, don't wanna keep the other ghouls waiting do ya?" Swiss said with a grin,

"Alright, can you guys wait out here for me? I don't know my way around so I wouldn't know where to go to see the others."

Swiss spoke up with a kind smile, "Yes we would love to"

I smiled back before shutting my door to go get ready, I went to my closet and put on the clothing that I am meant to wear around the ministry, along with the mask and a balaclava that had came with it, to hide my mouth. The mask felt weird and different but i'd get used to it.

I opened the door to meet a happy Swiss and Sodo, I couldn't tell his mood it was just different. 

"You look great, now follow us,"

Swiss stated, I didn't know how his statement made me feel, it felt weird for him to complement me. I followed him as we walked down the hallway before he stopped at a door with the name "Ghoul's Common Room" I entered the room to see four female figures on a couch talking about something I couldn't hear. While some other male looking ghouls were playing a board game. I was observing before Swiss loudly announced,

"Everyone! This is the new ghoul that has been summoned!"

Everyone's heads turned to me even Sodo's who had already sat down on a couch by the TV.

"Hi.. My name is Iris," I managed to quietly and quickly say, all their stares were intimidating especially Sodo's. The Ghouletts where quick to run up and introduce themselves,

"Hi! My name is Sunshine,' One of the shorter ones stated before pointing at another then saying,

"And this is Cirrus," Then again pointing at two more and saying,

"Then this is Aurora and Cumulus!" They were all very friendly and I liked them, then came up the group of boys. Swiss still beside me one of them said,

"My name is Aether, I no longer play in the band, but I still help around the stage" He said with a smile. Another one came forward, slightly shorter than Swiss

"My name is Phantom, its nice to meet you" I could see the slight smile underneath his balaclava. Then a really tall one, like tall its kind of scary, stepped forward,

"Hello, my name is Mountain, and this is Rain." He said while pointing at the shy ghoul next to him,

"I see the name makes sense," I quietly stated while almost cracking my neck to look up at this guy, but yet again I wasn't the tallest ghoul of the bunch. Mountain and the other ghouls softly chuckled, then I heard a yell from the couch,

"I know! That guy is just abnormally tall!" Sodo yells while everyone laughs,

"Yet again, You're just abnormally short!" Swiss states while laughing,

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, If He's abnormally short what does that make me!" I kind of jabbed at Swiss, 

"Well, that would make you a dwarf my little friend" Swiss jabs back with a cocky grin,

"You're practically calling me ugly!"  I put my hand over my face like I was going to faint, obviously making a joke at Swiss, also trying to make him feel a little bad,

"Now wait a minute you are the exact opposite, don't put words in my mouth love!" Swiss jokingly? I honestly had no clue, I was just focused on the nickname. I don'y even care that he called me the opposite of ugly, the name? I was red underneath the mask, This was something new, my stomach turned and it felt weird. I'm glad someone else spoke either wise i'd be standing there with no response, like an idiot.

"Now how would you know that?"  Aether questioned,

"I've seen his pretty face," Swiss replies with a big grin, looking down at me,

"What! No fair!" The ghouletts shout, 

"I can show you what I look like its no big deal," I stated quietly, Sodo was just staring at me, I didn't know why though.

"How about this, after we go shopping for your needs, we all show our faces to each other." Swiss suggests with a smile.

"Okay! that sounds good to me" I said as I looked around,

All of the ghouls nodded their head agreeing, before Swiss spoke up,

"So, who are you going to pick to go shopping with?"  Swiss asked while looking at me in the eyes, Its hard to tell with the mask on but I could feel it,

"I'm gonna pick you and Sodo if that's okay?" I asked, Sodo replied with a nod from the couch and Swiss was excited. I picked them because I met them first, and it felt right...
