One of the popular beliefs that was true, even though most doubted it, was that messing with the lighting guardian was the equivalent of a no-pretty encounter with the sky guardian. Many believed that the guardians, not the Tenth Vongola boss, were who would move sky and earth if something happened to their littlest. In truth, who would do so was the Tenth, not anyone else. The guardians, fairing for their own lives (something they would never say), tried to manage the situation before their boss knew.

- Daaaaaaddddddddd! - That sounded as soon as pink smoke appeared, leaving more than one person stupefied.

- Looks like it is our lucky day guys... - Lambo stayed in silence momentarily thanks to a machete that passed way too close to his head, taking part of his hair. - What should you take first? His tongue or a hand? That would teach him to listen and respect his elders... - Lambo trembled even more before the ugly man that licked the cutting edge of an ax. - Vongola shouldn't mess with things that aren't theirs...

A high scream, another call for dad, was heard. A kid running as fast as his little legs managed, not having any idea where to go or where he was or what was going on. Behind him, of course, was an entire group of rude and ugly men laughing at him. They were also running after him, calling coward and telling him that "dad" wouldn't come.

- Don't worry, this won't hurt... - The cutting edge of an ax shone for a moment. - much.

The sound of two metallic weapons meeting each other was heard and before knowing it, Lambo had been pushed behind something. Or someone.

- Tsk, what a bother... - Another clash of two metallic weapons. - Get out of the way, bootlicker!

- Ma Ma, why don't better let's calm down... - There was an odd tone in the voice. That, and an iron stance. - I assure you that you don't want to disturb any of us more than you have already done...

An explosion and curses were heard. Either way, Lambo only wanted one thing and one thing only. That was being in his dad's arms, who would take him from there and would protect him from anything.

- Dad! - He would call and call. Dad will appear, he was sure of that.

- Sssshhhh, be patient, alright? We won't be long in getting you-

- Dad! - He didn't care, and that was obvious because there was a curse and many more explosions. And now also screams and heavy hitting, like something pretty heavy falling to the floor.

For better or worse, someone heard the calls and came faster than anyone would have thought. Of course that the only reason it was noticed was not because they saw him to be precise.

Blood dripped from his face, clothes stained and dragging a body by one foot. Incredibly intense orange eyes. That was what was seen after a trace of flames surrounded the room, freezing everything in their path, showing perfectly the emotional state from the newcomer.

- Dad! - Lambo didn't care about the said image. He knew those eyes, even if they were cold and emotionless. He also knew that brown hair and that fair skin, and the figure in general. He raised up his arms to dad, waiting for that vision to change to one very well known to him.

Those eyes meet him. A body let out a groan after being thrown like a sack of potatoes.

- Nothing happened to him! - A nervous giggle. - Everything is fine Ten-

The gray haired man cursed below his breath, getting away immediately. A line of blood running by his cheek. Others followed the gray haired man example, but some... some weren't so bright.

In seconds, in mere seconds, a lot of shots were heard as well as many bodies hitting the floor, completely still.

- I want the place in ashes. - Lambo ignored this, raising up even more his arms to the figure that was down his knees before him. - You have 30 minutes, or I will do it myself. - Hurried steps and curses.

Nothing of that was important. Any of that. Not when he was in his dad's arms. Not when he was being checked all over and a worried voice asked him if no one touched him, if he was alright, and what happened to him.

Inadvertently, Lambo condemned all the small organization to more than just ruin. Nothing but dust remained from it. In a few weeks that family disintegrated thanks to the heavy pressure that Vongola applied on them. It wasn't like they would have endured much. The Tenth was more than clear in what he wanted by his silent fury at any time the opportunity came by. If it wasn't Vongola, it would be another family trying to please Vongola and learn to not make the same mistake.

Back in the past, Lambo fought a familiar fight. Nothing new, to be honest. The only weird thing was that, when his subordinate saw him, he took it differently than the others. Others, who whined because he was a mess and because of these things he had to learn to fight.

These comments were not taken very well, truly, by his subordinate. Said person had a very cold look on his face, he wasn't happy.

- Say that again. - Gokudera, to the general surprise, was the first victim of an iron grip to wrist. Gokudera only wanted to clean the kid from all the blood. - If you appreciate your life, you won't say it again, I am clear?

- Tsuna-nii? – Lambo didn't get it, he really didn't. Only dad got that odd attitude and it was weird the occasion-

- I am sorry, you saw something terrible, didn't you? - In a total mood change, his subordinate smiled at him. Little happiness, kind. He also proceeded to clean and fix him up, more kindly than what was normal.

No one tried to get close or say anything after the sixth time his subordinate gave one of those coldest looks he has ever seen from him. All because they got too close.

His subordinate was weird. Dad was the only one who could be so overprotective of him. Why was his subordinate acting so similar to dad?
