She stopped wanting him. She stopped mentioning his name in her prayers. She was done being the only one who was aching for love. She was done with the way he treated her when he needed her to love him, when he needed her to be there for him. And when he wanted nothing from her, he'd push her away as if she wasn't the one he was crying to yesterday. She let him convince her that she was hard to love, that she wasn't going to ever feel whole. Loving him didn't feel like sunshine. It wasn't the feeling she thought she'd feel when she'd see him.

She really thought she could take away all the darkness in him and give him all her smiles and joy. She tried being his rainbow when he had storms. But it was exhausting. And that's what happens when you're burning yourself to make others feel warm. You get burned out eventually and all you see around you is darkness. She collected all her pieces and left. She realized that she was worth all the happiness in this
world and he was doing nothing but making her cry day and night. She really tried but in the end, when it came to choosing herself or him, she chose peace.
