Forbidden Romance

Two hearts,
Two minds.
Two people,
Two lines.
Enemies,
Supposed to be.
Friends.
All the time.
Rivals,
They are now.
The girl knows how to feel.
Her parents say she's crazy.
They don't know the whole deal.

She met him after school one day
She was uncomfortable, afraid
Afraid of what they could do
Afraid of their arrogant attitudes
Afraid of how inadequate she would be to them
They took her in, took her under their wing.
Suddenly, her life was just a dream

There was this wildly outgoing kid.
He was terrifying to her.
She was the polar opposite of him.
She thought she'd always hate him.
Hate the way he talked,
Hate the way he looked,
Hate the way he acted,
Hate him entirely.

The next year she knew
He knew more too
They both competed,
Who would've known?
They fell for each other.
Well, she fell for him.
She never really made it known.
Her friends said he had fallen.
Further and faster than she.
She said there was no way.
No way they could like each other.
No way they could pay the price.
The price of hiding the best relationship in your life.

They laughed and talked for hours.
Her parents hated him.
They were both 'friends.'
When everyone knew they had benefits.
Today friends with benefits is a term most people shun
I however believe it's the best type of fun.
