Memories of Past Lives

I've never felt as if I fit into this period of time

My mother has always said I remind her of an old soul

And I hate to agree, but I see it too

I feel as though I've been split across many centuries

From Victorian times to the 1980s

Bits and pieces of myself lost to time and space

Never truly comfortable in my own skin

And always fantasizing about lives that are not my own

Maybe that just who I am

Somebody who lives in the memories of past lives
