Melting the ice

CHPT2: friend date

After we didn't get our song we had to start working on our routine  of course Cole just kept complaining i brushed him off all i was focused on was trying to make our duet the best... 
     "alright so after we do the spin you need to-" 
     "did you ask Rohan out?"  Cole exclaimed out of the blue, i practiced the steps as i responded 
    "kind of...... why?" i asked really curious about why he cared "i don't know i just thought it was weird" he said we both did the spin and jump before i replied.
   "why would it be weird i like rohan," i admitted  "just because he's my best friend and your my skating partner" "so we don't like eachother anymore, do you think i'm just never going to go on a date with somebody i like?" i asked him "well no i just mean i can't see you two together i guess......." i turned to him "Cole Pearson! are you jealose?" i teased "uh, excuse me i've had plenty of Joi Peirce for a lifetime" cole said
    "alright," i backed off with a smirk on my face  
    
       

 "so right here you will lift me up throw me in the air spinning then catch me" i said getting position "and you trust me with this?" he asked 
   "not at all" he put his hands on my waist i took a breath and he threw me into the air but suddenly i wasn't in the right position he won't be able to catch me......
   "COLE!" i closed my eyes ready to be filled with the pain of impact but then i felt somebody arms around me then my skates hit the ice slowly i opened my eyes. 
   "you caught me" i said surprised
  "yeah i  was thinking about not" Cole laughed 
   "so maybe not that lift in our routine" i took a breath so grateful for Cole we finished practicing an easier lift and coming up with new idea's i thought it would be cool to add in a hockey move but we couldn't think of one to use so we came up with something else  he taught me how to stop and make a bunch of snow we each stop opposite way then when the snow fell we would be in our final pose.

   "so are you going to the skating rink tomorrow i heard that Marquez invited you" i asked him 
  "yeah i am, i also invited Ryan and Rohan are you going?" Cole looked at me funny 
    "um i guess...... and here you dip me," i said well we practiced our routine "hey are you doing anything after this?" i raised an eyebrow at his weird question "i don't think so" i told him 
   "would you want to i don't know go watch the hockey game tonight? with a few friends?" he asked me. i stopped "did you just ask me out?" "no we would go as friends plus rohans coming with me we have two extra tickets you could invite  a friend?" he said trying to not get embarassed "sure i'd love to but only because i will die for their mini donuts" i laughed at my own joke, 
  "great i'll tell rohan your coming" 

        ****later that night****

"hey dad,"  i said grabbing my phone from the charging station and putting it in my bag.
"hello, where are you going?" my dad asked 
 "oh right i forgot to tell you, cole invited me to the hockey game tonight" i explained 
  "which one is Cole? oh is it the one who has dark hair?" 
   "i don't know a guy with dark hair," i heard a honk outside "oh he's here" i said "alright just be back by ten no nine well hockey games are forever ten, and no kissing" he decided on, "thank you i have an excuse now, love you" i blew him a kiss as i walked out the front door surprised to see Cole with a baby blue vespa
  "uh, i didn't know you had a vespa" i said he handed me a helmet "yeah i didn't know either" i laughed trying to figure out what he meant by that. "okay but first i need a photo 'cause i don't think my friends will believe me"  i took a pic and got on, hopefully he was a good driver. 

  Cole was a surprisingly good driver of course i didn't tell him that once we reached the hockey arena i saw Rohan waiting i liked the idea of going on a kinda date with him but then a girl came out of the arena she went up to Rohan and handed him a drink she had two more that probably was for me and Cole but still seeing Rohan with another girl was a thought i didn't want to bare. 

 Once Cole parked, i got off and handed him the helmet suddenly i wasn't in a very good mood, "hey Ro," Cole yelled at Rohan, Rohan smiled but when he saw me with Cole a confused face faded upon him then when i looked at the girl she didn't look pleased at all. 
   "hey Rohan, hi-" i paused i didn't actually know her name "oh right this is Cydney my-" she interrupted Rohan "here are your drinks, sorry i wasn't sure what you guys liked so i got seven up and ice tea"
    "i'll take the seven up, jinx, double jinx, triple jinx" me and Cole said in unity then we started laughing "i'll take the ice tea" i said doing a nice gesture for Cole "alright, then should we go inside?" Cole said we all agreed as we walked into the arena i could tell this was going to be a awkward "hang out" i thought.....
