Lesson 1
Remus stepped forward and stood on Sirius' foot. "No!"
"Oh, sorry." Sirius let go of Remus and paused the music.
"You don't step on the one. Start on the two. Find the two."
"I've never done any of these dances before."
"Now, it's one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four." Sirius pressed play and held Remus once more. "When the music starts, you don't dance until the two."
Remus started to panic. Sirius moved his hand from the small of Remus' back and held his hand instead.
"Relax. Breathe." Remus gave a weak smile. "Ready?" He nodded. "Frame." Remus went to step forward and Sirius shook his head. "Nope."
De Todo Un Poco started to play once more. Sirius moved and Remus followed.
"Again."
Remus stepped forward and stood and Sirius' foot once again.
"Ow!"

Lesson 3
"Two, three, four, two, three, four." Sirius placed a hand on Remus' back. "Don't lean back. Lift up." Remus stood up straighter. "Two, three, four. Shoulders down." Remus relaxed his shoulders. "Two, three, four, two, three, four. Two, three, four, two, three, four. Two, three, four." Remus stopped. "Again. Now concentrate." Sirius grinned as Remus shook his head.

Lesson 5
"Don't put your heel down!"
"I didn't!"
"Stay on the two. Just listen to me. The steps aren't enough. Feel the music."
Sirius held Remus and Remus let him lead him around the dance studio.

Lesson 8

"It's not on the one. It's not the mambo. It's a feeling, a heartbeat." Sirius explained. "Ga-gung, ga-gung." He said, a hand on his heart.
"Ga-gung." Remus copied him.
Sirius took Remus' hand and placed it flat on his chest.
"Don't try so hard. Ga-gung, ga-gung. Close your eyes." Remus did as he was told. "Go on." Remus sighed.
"Ga-gung." He started to mutter under his breath.
"Open your eyes." Remus opened his eyes and removed his hand from Sirius' chest. Sirius smiled and pulled him closer. "Two, three, four. Two, three, four." Sirius began leading him around the room once more. "Two, three, four. Two, three, four. Breathe. Two, three, four."

Lesson 12

"Head up. Lock your frame. No, lock it!" Sirius stopped, he tapped Remus' arm. "Look, spaghetti arm. This is my dance space," he gestured to the space in between his arms. "This is your dance space." He held out Remus' arms. "I don't go into yours; you don't go into mine. You've got to hold the frame."
Sirius nodded at Marlene, who was sat in an armchair next to the stereo.
"Again." He held Remus. "Remember, frame."

Lesson 16

"Back. Easy." Sirius led Remus around the room. "And turn, turn, down and lift. You'll learn that later. And come on!" Sirius spun Remus around. "Down, twist, and ow!"
"Sorry."
"Are you trying to kill me?" Remus helped Sirius up. "You've got to concentrate. Is that your idea of fun?"
"Oh yeah," Remus rolled his eyes. "We're supposed to do the show in two days. You won't show me lifts, I'm not sure of turns. I'm doing all of this to save your ass! I really want to drop you in it!"
"Well, let's get out of here."
Pair quickly changed then headed out into the pouring rain. Remus followed Sirius over to where a black car was parked. Sirius tried the door.
"Shit!"
"What?" Remus asked as he covered his head with his arms to try and protect himself against the terrible weather.
"I locked the keys in the car." Sirius looked around before grabbing a log.
"What's that for?"
Sirius didn't reply, he just smashed the back window. He dropped the log and reached inside the car to unlock it before holding the door open for Remus. Remus climbed in and pulled the seatbelt around himself. Sirius got in next to him and grinned as he shook his head to dry his hair like a wet dog.
"Ew!" Sirius put his own seatbelt on and started the engine. "You're crazy."
"What?"
"You're wild." Remus laughed.
By the time the came to a stop in the middle of nowhere, the rain was no more. They climbed out of the car and Remus followed Sirius to a lake which had a fallen tree lay across it. Sirius kicked off his shoes and walked across, making it look easy. He stopped in the middle.
"Now, the most important thing to remember in lifts is balance."
He wobbled a bit and then regained his balance.
"Where'd you learn to be a dancer?"
"Well, this guy came into this luncheonette one day, and we were all sitting around doing nothing." Sirius sat down. "He said that this guy was giving a test for instructors, so, if you passed they teach you all these different dances." He jumped back up. "They show you how to break them down, how to teach them, you know." Sirius pointed at Remus.
"What?" He pointed at the tree and Remus shook his head. "No way." Sirius walked over and took Remus' hand in his own.
"Don't look down. Look right here." He pointed at his eyes. Remus kicked off his shoes and allowed Sirius to lead him out onto the tree. "Imagine the music." The pair began to dance.
It started to rain once more and they hurried off of the tree, trying not to slip.
"What now?"
"C'mon." Sirius took Remus' hand and ran to the middle of the field. He let go. "Run at me."
"What?"
"I'll lift you. Bend your knees and go up."
"Oh God."
"Not a God, but close enough." Sirius smirked.
Remus ran and Sirius lifted him off the ground. "Good." He smiled as he put Remus down. He backed away a bit. "Now, you'll hurt me if you don't trust me. Now go!" Remus ran and jumped once more. Sirius placed him down and backed away again. "Now, we'll go up, all right?" Remus ran and jump and Sirius lifted him above his head before the pair collapsed onto the ground laughing. "The best place to practice lifts is in the water."
Remus found himself stood topless in the lake opposite a topless Sirius.
"Just bend your knees. Go!" Sirius lifted Remus above his head. "Good. Good. Now hold the position. Hold it! Good! Don't break! Don't break!" Remus leaned forward too far and the pair toppled over into the water with a splash. "Let's do it again."
"Okay."
"Alright. One...two...three!" Sirius lifted Remus.
"Oh, no. Sorry!" The pair fell straight away.
