On the way home I was sitting in the back with my brother Matt, with Alex in the front, with Travis driving. I've got my AirPods in, listening to Taylor Swift. Then Matt taps me on the shoulder. "What do you want from McDonald's?" Matt shyly asked "Tell Travis I would like just French fries with a Strawberry Smoothie" I said, putting my air pod back in my ear, then "The Last Great American Dynasty" By Taylor Swift, from her Folklore Album starts playing. Matt tells Travis what I want, it was sorta muffled because I had my headphones on. We get to the window to get our food, Travis is passing the food to Alex. Alex passes Matt's food to him, then Matt taps me on the shoulder again. "Thanks Alex" I whisper to him so Travis can't hear me "Your welcome" Alex whispered back We leave the drive through, to head home. Alex is spending the weekend at our house because it was boys weekend. It's so gross. Because a bunch of stinky guys, in the living room, all screaming over a football game, or when they play Call of Duty, or even fucking Fortnite. That game is honestly so stupid. But it's whatever. I'll just be in my room, waiting to see if I get an email to see if I made it to the volleyball team. By the time I'm done my food, we are home. Matt is half asleep with his chicken nuggets in his lap. I tap Matt on the shoulder. "Matt" I said "Huh?" He said "We are home" I said "Woooooo! Boys weekend!" Matt screamed. Luckily I had my AirPods still in. Matt quickly unbuckles, grabs his food, and runs inside. I've personally never seen Matt run so quick. Travis and Alex left, which left me cleaning up the garbage. At least I'm listening to "The Man" by Taylor Swift. After I was done cleaning the car, I went up to my room. Travis, Alex and their friends are in the living room watching football. I just take a quick peak, and as I do, Alex looks over. I wave at him. Alex does the slightest head shake. I look down at my phone, and see that Emma messaged me. Emma- Taylor!!! Taylor- What?!! Emma: I made it to the volleyball team! Taylor- oh my god! Let me go look real quick! I get to my bedroom, opening my bedroom door as I open my email. I press the very top email in my inbox. Hello, Miss.Evans. I hope you are having a great evening. I was just here to tell you that you will be joining the Mayfield Senior High BLUE volleyball team. OH MY GOD!- I yell I open messages to text Emma Emma-So did you? Taylor- Yes! Team Blue! Wbu? Emma- Me too! Taylor- Oh my god! Eeeee. I'm so happy!! Emma- me too! Emma- I gtg. Dinner is ready Taylor- bye Ems, see you tomorrow! Emma- Bye Tay-Tay! I close messages, and get dressed into some shorts, and a oversized hoodie. And I head downstairs for something to eat. While I'm walking down the stairs quietly so no one heard me. I had my air pods in listening to "Stick Season". One floor board creaked, and everyone turned and looked at me. My face was just in shock. "Sorry. I just-" I tried to say "Taylor, go away" Travis said "I just nee-" I said, well almost "Go away! We are clearly doing something!" Travis yelled "Im sorry." I said, turning back to head upstairs. My eyes are lined with tears, but I hold them until I go upstairs. Doesn't help that now I'm listening to "Last Kiss" by Taylor Swift. I just sit in my bed, turned away from the door. Then I hear a knock on the door. "Can I come in?" Someone said "Yeah." I managed to say I hear the door open, I turn to look, it was Alex with a class of water. "Im sorry about Travis. He was very focused on his game." Alex said, putting the class of water on the side table. "It's okay...it happens all the time" I said, wiping my eyes. "What do you-"Alex tried to say,until someone called him "I have to go" Alex said "Okay. Have fun." I said "Your welcome for the water" Alex said, opening the door "Thanks Alex" I said, rolling back over. I hear to door close.
Next day I wake up to someone knocking on my door. "What?" I mumble "Breakfast is ready" said the person on the other side of the door. I get up, and walk to the door and I open it. It was Matt. "Good morning Matt!" I said "Morning Tay. Mum made pancakes!" Matt said "Your favourite ones" Matt whispered "Okay, I'll be down in a few minutes" I said "Okay!" He said, giving me a hug I hug him back, then he runs down the stairs. I close my door. I walk to my vanity. "Alexa, play my Taylor Swift playlist" I said "Okay. Here's your Taylor Swift Playlist." My Alexa said. Cornelia Street started to play. I start singing along while doing my skincare. "Taylor hurry up! There will be nothing left!" Mary yelled "Okay! I'm coming!" I yelled "Alexa pause." I said My Alexa paused, and I leave my room. I walk downstairs. All of Travis' friends are looking at me and I don't know why. "Morning Taylor!" Mary said "Morning mum!" I said, sitting at the kitchen island, and my mum passes me a plate, with pancakes, whipped cream and strawberries. "Thanks mum!" I said "Your welcome!" Mary said "This is really good mum!" I said "Thank you. But I do have a question" Mary said, doing to the dishes "Yeah. What is it?" I said, then taking a bite of my food. "Did you make the volleyball team?" Mary asked "Yeah I did. Emma and I are on the blue team!" I said "Great job honey!" Mary said "Thanks mum. Here's my dish." I said, handing my dish over "Thanks Taylor. Got any plans today?" Mary asked, taking my dish "Yeah. Emma and I are going to the mall." I said "Do you need any money?" Mary asked "No. I got my allowance money remember." I said, getting off my chair "Oh right! Will you need a ride?" Mary asked "Yeah. You will have to pick up Emma too" I said "Okay! Be ready at 11:00!" Mary said "Okay!" I said, I was about to leave "Your brother and his friends have to come too." Mary said Ughhh why!! - I say to myself "Okay." I said, with annoyance. I go upstairs to my room to get ready. Taylor- Ems! Emma-yeah? Taylor- my mum said we can go to the mall, and that she will pick you up. But Travis' friends have to come Emma- oooooooooooo. Alex will be coming!!! Taylor- I don't like Alex! Emma- fine. What time is your mum picking me up? Taylor- 11:30 Emma- okay! I'll go get ready!! Taylor- bye! I put my phone down, "Alexa play" I said My Alexa continued to play Cornelia Street. I start singing along while waiting for my hair straightener to heat up. Then the song finishes and plays "The last great American dynasty" My hair straightener is finished heating up. And I do my hair. When I'm finished, I get dressed

You have to sit in the back." Mary said "Ughhhhh. Fine." Travis said. "No Taylor Swift" Travis said, looking at me "Woah. Passenger gets the aux cord." I said "Ugh fine. Whatever" Travis said. We all get into the mini van, mum and I in the front, Alex and the empty seat in the middle, and Travis, Jacob and Wyatt in the very back. I connect my phone with Bluetooth to the speakers. And I start playing "The Man" by Taylor Swift. I look back and Travis, Jacob and Wyatt all have their AirPods in. And Alex doesn't, he is singing along with Taylor Swift.
