ADRIAN'S POV:

Finishing my long and tiring shift at the hospital, I couldn't help but steal a quick glance at my watch. It was almost time to pick up Sierra, and the thought of being late for her made my heart race. Sierra, is the one and only person who could make me forget the world's problems with just a smile. I rushed to my car, trying to shake off the exhaustion from my day. The engine roared to life as I accelerated through the city streets, my mind filled with images of Sierra's radiant smile.

As I arrived at Sierra's College campus, a mischievous idea struck me. I decided to surprise her by hiding and watch her reaction when she sees me. With my heart pounding, I parked my car, partially hidden by some trees and waited. Minutes felt like hours, but finally, I see Sierra, my little girl with her graceful stride and with her enchanting smile, approaching the stop where I had hidden myself.

Damn, that smile!

My heart contain its excitement and butterflies swarmed in my stomach as I watched her come nearer. Sierra spotted me and her beautiful hazel eyes lit up with delight. She waved a joyful hi, in my direction and walked faster. Her happiness was contagious and I couldn't help but smile. But then, as she walked nearer, something unexpected happened. She was abruptly stopped midway and my heart sank.

I see Felix, standing there with a packet in his hand. My jaw clenched and a pang of jealousy surged within me. I'm not the jealous type but what's mine is mine and I don't like to share it with others.

Uughh! This fucking guy!

Sierra looked towards me hesitantly as she accepted the packet from Felix. Her eyes, once full of happiness, now carried a trace of uncertainty. My mind raced wondering what could be inside the packet.

Sierra finally approached me and we both sat in the car. The tension between us seemed to grow with each passing moment. I couldn't control myself and curiosity gnawed at me until I finally questioned.

"Sierra, what's inside the packet?" I demanded her in a commanding tone. She looked at me with those enchanting eyes, her words stumbling and stammering as if trying to find their way out.
"Uh..this...croissants," she finally managed to say, her tone uncertain.
I raised an eyebrow in surprise, "Croissants?" And then I found myself politely asking, "can I take a look at them?" Before Sierra could even respond, I reached out and took the packet from her tiny hands, my fingers brushing against hers in the process. I tore open the packet and was met with the warm, buttery aroma of freshly baked croissants. I took a bite of the croissants and began eating while driving.

"Dr.Adrian," she began hesitantly, her voice soft and tentative, "Felix...he gave these croissants as a kind gesture." She said while biting her lips. Sierra tried to explain that there was no hidden meaning behind the gift but I filled with my possessiveness and protectiveness, continued eating. My grip on the steering wheel unwavering, my focus solely on the road ahead and the croissants in my hand.

I walk into the Heavens cafe, the familiar aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped me. Sierra was behind the counter and I stood gazing into her eyes, unable to find the words to express the depth of my feelings. Her beauty, it's like a work of art, I can't stop admiring, her voice, it's a melody that plays in my heart, giving me those delightful butterflies with every word she speaks. Whenever she walks into me, my world brightens and an uncontrollable smile spreads across my face. I wish I could find the words, the right words to convey how much she means to me, the depth of my love. But no matter how hard I try, words always failed me as they could never capture the true essence of my feelings. Sierra will forever occupy a special place in my heart, for as long as this heart keeps beating.
