"Wait here, I need to go get something" I said to junior as I closed his side of the door
I jogged back into the house and went upstairs
"Bae!" I called out to david. "Yes!" He yawned looking up from underneath the blanket
"Bae get up!" I huffed tapping his leg aggressively. "I'm tired man, What you want" He complained sitting up in the bed
"You need to get custody of your son" I said and he began to look at me crazy
"You been telling me this for a whole week" He said smacking his lips. "Yes and I'm tryna help you save you son" I said
"You need to get up and go to that court and get custody of your son asap, The time is ticking" I said
"I'll go tomor-No David! You need to go right now" I raised my voice cutting him off
"I promised to junior I wasn't gonna tell you" I softened my voice. "Tell me what?" He questioned fully sitting up as he had a confused look on his face
" When you picked up Junior from his mom that stay did you notice anything on his body?" I asked and he shook his head no
As I was washing Junior that Saturday I discovered more bruises on the back of his leg and thigh big ones too
" When I was taking him a shower I discovered bruises all over his body. His mom had hit him.......with a bat. David" I sighed
"WHAT!?" He shouted. "I seen it" I said and he jumped up from the bed and ran downstairs
"DAVID NO STOP!" I shouted as I ran after him
He ran outside and ran over to the car and yanked opened Juniors door and took Junior out
I stood and watched as tears rolled down my face as I watched him roll up juniors clothes and look for the bruises
"FUCK!" He shouted
"Why you ain't tell me this junior....WHYYYYY!" He raised his voice. "David don't yell at him" I said as I went over n gently pulled him back
"Look at my son skin yo!" He broke down crying. "Daddy I'm sorry....." I heard Junior say, I glanced over at Junior and he had tears streaming down his face
"Why you ain't tell me........junior why?.." David cried bending down as he held his head down.
"How long this been going for?" He asked Junior. "Three" Junior said as he slowly held up three fingers
"Three weeks?" He asked and Junior nodded his head. "FUCK!" He shouted
"I'm gonna fucking kill her bro! Where my keys at" He huffed rising up. "David don't" I said stopping him. "Do you not see my sons skin, LOOK AT HIM" He raised his voice
"Junior get in the car" I said to him and he did as told
I followed David into the house and grabbed the keys out his hand
"David listen to me" I sighed. "Ori I can't my mind isn't straight righ-JUST LISTEN!" I raised my voice cutting him off
"Don't go to her house, Go the court and put in for custody. Don't do nothing or you'll be in more jeopardy than this" I said
"Do it for junior please" I begged. "don't go over there" I said
"Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.......look at my son" He sighed as he sat down on the stairs and broke down crying again
"Look at his skin ori, I'm supposed to be his dad and be there to save him but I didn't" He cried
"David.....you are his dad. And you still can save him, Just do what I'm asking you to do" I said as I sat next to him rubbing his back
" I failed him yo, Look at his skin ori" He sniffed shaking his head. "You didn't fail him, You didn't. You did what you could. It's not your fault neither is it his" I said
" Now get up" I sighed lifting him up with one arm
"Now get into daddy mode. Go to the court and put in for custody" I said handing him over his keys
"And I'll see you later, Okay?" I leaned over kissing him on the cheek. "Mhm" He nodded his head
