Owen stood beside her friends, anxiously fiddling with his hands until Acho approached.
The Dauphin pulled her off to the side, a small frown on his face, "Simon has an alibi, he's been questioned."
"Truly, I am not surprised," Owen groaned, looking away from Acho.
Acho sighed, "Owen, you do understand that I am going to help you because I take you and your position very seriously. Though I assume my brother has made that claim too, I saw the two of you talking. Has he gone after Colin?" Star asked.
Owen nodded, "Are you mad I asked him?" His voice was laced with concern.
"Of course not Owen. No, you need more than empty promises of support, you need action. I am simply worried as it is nearing nightfall and he isn't home yet," Acho reassured, cupping Owen's face lovingly.
"All I know is that he is following a trail in the woods," Owen muttered.
Acho turned to leave but Owen grabbed their hand, "Thank you," she spoke before letting star go.
Slowly, Owen's friends approached and Water took her hand, "We've spoken to every servant and guard."
"Not a soul in that corridor sae anyone leave your room, not an assassin and certainly no dying girl," Finnegan added on.
"They must have if they left through the door," Martyn added quietly.
Owen nodded, "So they used the passageway."
