Oh, Dearest

Love is the shark you were thrown to.
We are not the pups we thought we could be.

Alas, Dear Wife,
Shall Now never become worthy to you?
Though I once was. And you remember it yet.

Goodbye, Sweet Sorrow,
May you never remember why you are,
And may you always cherish how you are not.

Adieu, O Bird's Nest,
May your eyries yield fortuitous winds forever,
Though I'm denied those secluded heights.

Pithy, Eau de Parfum,
Shall I be, for I can think of nothing to say.
Fitting.

Bye, Red Breeze,
We may never have truly matched up well,
But it was fun while we... had the opportunity.

To whom shall I say goodbye, Witch,
He who had known me and told naught for aye
Or She who yet unknows me forevermore?

Ah, The Lion,
This one might have pained me the most once.
Kisses. Though I am now beyond the tawdry.

The Moon, I...
I feel as though I must apologize. For what?...
I can't say. But I hope it meant something...

To All, Those Thus Unmentioned, et.c.,

I wanted to hear your swirling voices for so long. But the choir has been long dead and the dream has shifted its veils. I hope it's actually permanent this time. As I begin to forget those who replaced you, however poorly, know that with this, I shall begin to erase you.

And god forbid I remember what I lost in turn.
