Chapter 2: I Choose You [Season 1, Episode 1]

[The lights went off and the screen lit up showing a pokemon battle between Nidorino and a Gengar where Nidorino uses horn attack and Gengar dodges it as the crowd in the stadium roars in cheers and the announcer continues]

Announcer: And Nidorino begins the battle with a Horn Attack! Oh, but Gengar bounces right back! And there it is! The Hypnosis power of Gengar! This could be the end of Nidorino. Wait, the trainer recalls Nidorino! Which Pokémon will he use now? Oh! It's Onix! And now this giant Pokémon's on the attack! Oh, but Gengar jumps aside. Gengar is moving beautifully today, it's training is top notch. No doubt about it!

[Gengar then counters it with hypnosis which puts Nidorino to sleep as Bruno recalls it back and sends out Onix which makes a loud roar]

[Many trainers like Paul and Trip and champions leaned in watching the fight hoping to get some battle tips]

MAX: Uhmm I am curious.. why is that pokeball green?

MISTY: [Shrugs] Don't know...

LANCE: [Realizes] I remember that match between Bruno and a trainer.. but this was many years ago..

STEVEN: So we are seeing a years old battle.. [Confused]

[Ash is shown in front of a TV playing a Pokémon fight. He pulls on a glove before the camera pans to his face]

ASH: [Realization hits] Now I remember that was the starting lineup day of my journey!!

DAWN: [Surprised] So this video is of the time when you are going to start your journey huh?

[Ash nods as Iris speaks]

IRIS: So we are watching Ash's first day of his pokemon journey huh but I thought we are going to watch the chosen one..

ZOEY: Yeah that shadow guy did say we have to watch chosen one's adventures... [Confused]

[Misty was about to reply when their was a flash of light and shadow appeared]

SHADOW: [Sweatdrop] Are you all idiots that you still don't realize it.. Ash is the chosen one alright!

PROF-KUKUI: Can I ask what do you mean by chosen one? [Confused]

[Like Professor Kukui many others were confused as well]

KENNY: And what is so special about it?! [Says aloud]

SHADOW: Shut the fuck up! [And disappears as their was a complete silence then the screen continued playing]

Ash: Yes, I am Ash.

[The camera pulls away as Ash cheers at the TV]

Narrator: Ash Ketchum is a boy from Pallet Town.

[The camera moves throughout Ash's room before showing Ash tie his shoes]

Ash: And now that I'm ten, I can finally get my Pokémon license.

ALAIN: So I guess this is at the time when you were going to start your journey huh?

ASH: [Smiles] Yup!

GOH: Well you look pretty determined huh..

ASH: Well I was excited to start my journey! [Shrugs]

Narrator: Ten-year-olds can receive a beginning Pokémon from their local Pokémon expert. In Ash's case, Professor Oak.

ASH: I will journey to gain the wisdom of Pokémon training. And I hereby declare to the Pokémon of the world I will be a Pokémon Master. A Pokémon Master! That is what I'll-
