Chapter 4: Ash Catches a Pokémon [Season 1, Episode 3]

[Everyone were seated in the room as the screen lit up showing another title which showed Ash's first capture]

BONNIE: Which was our first capture Ash? [Asks excited]

ASH: Well you can see it on the screen! [Says as Bonnie pouts]

[Others were intrigued as well to watch Ash's first capture as the screen started to play]

[Ash is shown in a stand off between him and Caterpie.]

Narrator: Deep in the dark Viridian forest, Ash discovers a Caterpie and tries his best to make his first Pokémon catch.

[Ash turns his cap backwards before throwing a pokeball at Caterpie]

IRIS: So your first catch was a caterpie huh... [Looks at Ash who nods as Misty looked uncomfortable which Lana noticed as she asked]

BONNIE: Wow!! Caterpie is such a cute pokemon!! [Gushes at the cute pokemon] Do you still have it and why didn't you show it? [Looks at Ash]

ASH: Because I don't have it now Bonnie and why you may find out later..

LANA: Misty you alright..? [Concerned]

MISTY: Y-Yeah.. lets watch.. [Lana was confused but she turned her attention to the screen]

ASH: Caterpie, you're mine! [It hits Caterpie on the head.]

Caterpie: *squeals*

[Caterpie dissolves into red light before balling up into the pokeball and closing the top. The pokeball beeps as it shakes]

ASH: Hm. [The pokeball stops moving as it closes with a click]

ASH: Hm? Yes! I did it! Aha! I did it! I got Caterpie! I did it all by myself. I caught my first Pokémon! This is the first step on my way to becoming the number one Pokémon Master in the whole world.

[Ash grabs Misty's arm as he runs in a circle]

MISTY: Ah! Hey! Wait a minute!

ASH: Ha-ha.

MISTY: I'm getting dizzy! I'm going to get sick! Quit it!

ASH: Look out, Pokémon. Nothing's going to stop me now.

[Pikachu watching gets dizzy and falls backwards.]

[Many laughed at the excitement though many did understand the sentiment as they themselves were excited when they first caught their own pokemon]

WALLACE: Well it did brings old memories back.. [Smiles and says]

PROF-KUKUI: I still remember how excited I was when I first caught my first capture!

[The other adults nod as well]

MISTY: Uhh! and he made me dizzy for that!

MALLOW: Well.. we can't blame Ash for excited he was. We would have reacted the same at the first capture.

ASH: [Grins] I know Goh was!

GOH: Yeah but I didn't spin you around! [Smirks as Ash huffs]

MISTY: Ash, you're acting like a...

[Misty groans as Ash pushes the pokeball in her face, Misty seems to be cowering away from it]

ASH: Look. Inside this ball is the very first Pokémon I ever caught In my whole entire life.

MISTY: Great. Just keep it away from me, will you?

ASH: You're not afraid of an itty-bitty Caterpie in a Poké Ball, are you?
