(Parody of the poem 'If_' by Rudyard Kipling -- short version)
If you can weave a web of deception when all about you,
Are working honestly and hard except you,
If you can butter-up your bosses to unfairly favor you,
But make sure they are not doubting too;
If you are adept at butting-in without waiting,
Or lie-around, with the best of lies,
Or making , with all the faking,
And yet look too good, and talk too wise:
If you can feign knowledge and not make wisdom your master,
If you can take credit for other's work without any shame,
If you can talk without knowing, more than any domain expert can muster,
And when things fail, know best to divert all the blame;
If you can have sadistic fun, while you are at all of it,
And still act as if you are Henry the Ford,
Yours is the Corner Seat and everything that's in it,
And—which is more—you'll be a real Boss, my Lord!
