"Still looking out for your mystery man?" Miles teased
"N-no" I say though It comes out more like a question.
Miles laughs, "Don't worry shorty, you'll see him again. If not There's plenty of fish in the sea" he pats my back going into the back rooms leaving me at the register.
The day went by rather sluggishly. Lost in my thoughts the chime of the bell above to door brought my attention. It was him, he's here again..
A big grin was stuck on my face. I not so subtly got Miles to notice he was here again. He just gave a thumbs up and an encouraging smile.
Gosh why was I acting like this? I don't even know his name.
I bet its a cute name just like him t- I need to stop
I seriously need to find the off button for my intrusive thoughts.
I walk up to the table he's sitting at ready to take his order. He brought company this time.
I take a breath "Hii, Welcome to Rose's Book Café. What would you like to order or would you like me to come back so you can decide?"
His friend answers "I'd like a croissant and Peppermint Mocha and Ren would take Iced coffee and a sugar bun please"
His name's Ren. Like the character from F4.
"Okay, I'll be back with your orders soon"
I write it down and hand it to Sheila, one of the other employees and my friend.
"Soo?" Miles drawls out "Did you find out what his name is?"
Softly I say, "His name is Ren"
"Like the character from F4?"
"He looks like a Ren"
"Who are we gossiping about?" Sheila asked from behind us.
"Damn woman you scared us" Miles exclaims putting a heart over his heart with a fake scowl.
"Umm nothin-'' I say but Miles cut me off. Rude
"We were talking about my future brother-in-law. The quiet one with the dark hair."
"Oh my god Miles" my face is gonna resemble the color of a tomato if he doesn't stop his teasing
Shelia joins in on his teasing "Oooh, well I approve of him for our little June" ruffling my hair she hands me their order. Slightly pushing me in their direction.
I walk off hearing their snickers and laughter. They're soo embarrassing at times.
"H-here's your order.'' I place it carefully on the wooden table so I don't accidently spill it. It's a common thing with me spilling things so Claire doesn't usually put me on table duty.
"You're so cute June, you know that?" Ren's friend says. He had brown eyes and lighter brown hair. His skin was a bit tan. "Thank you..."
"Ares. This one's B.F.F.F.L"
"B.F.F.F.L?" I asked
"best friend forever for life"
"Ohhh" I say, chuckling. Ares is a funny guy to be around. He's cool.
"Uhm June? Your friend, the one next to the blond guy. The redhead. Is she single by chance? I would lik-"
His sentence was interrupted by Ren kicking him from under the table. I quietly laughed at the two. Ren gave me a sorry look referring to Ares. "Well I'll leave you two to enjoy your food. Bye and thanks for the compliment Ares ""And yes she's single."
I was about to ask him how he knew my name but then I remembered It's on my name tag pinned to my shirt. Silly me
I walked back to my friends, giving me a knowing look from behind the counter. I already know they're gonna bombard me about what happened at their table.
"Later after our shifts I'll tell you"
I rushed out to the back rooms not waiting to hear their responses. I splashed cold water on my face attempting to cool down my blushing face.
I met him again. The thought almost made me want to blush again.
His green orbs looked at me.
I need to calm down.
