Harry woke up early, eager for Veronica to arrive. It had only been a week since the end of term. The sun hadn't fully risen yet but Harry was ready to go. Veronica's owl said they would pick him up at six in the morning in the dot. It was currently 5:55 am.

The Dursleys were sound asleep as Harry eagerly waited in the living room, too excited to feel tired. He was excited for the whole day ahead, but mostly, just the chance to spend time with Veronica without worrying about other Slytherins seeing. They could leave differing houses at Hogwarts but here in the Muggle world, they could just be kids.

No Voldemort. No Chamber of Secrets. No Philosopher Stones's.

They could just be kids.

Just kids.

Harry heard a car pulling up to the drive way. He peeked out the window. It was more if a truck then a car.

It was a four by four truck. The truck was red with a white line going round the middle.

Harry’s heart skipped a beat as he saw Veronica stepping out of the truck from one if the back doors.

She was wearing blue denim shorts and a grey top with heart patterns. On her feet were some flip flops. Sunglasses pushed her hair back rather then her usual head band.

From the short distance, Harry could also see she was wearing the two necklaces he'd brought her. The snake choker necklace and a lobger necklace that contained her birthstone.

Veronica walked quickly to his front door, her ebony black hair dancing behind her. Harry let himself hope for a brief moment that maybe she was just as eager to see him as he was her.

Harry flung the front door open before Veronica had a chance to knock. She stood infront of him, fist raised as if about to knock.

Veronica smiled brightly at him. "Hi, Harry." She said, her eyes looking even more silver in the early morning light.
