Raymonte's POV

Diamond has been in the hospital for four days. Which means Dontavius has been in the hospital for four days. Which means I have been in the hospital for four days.

Donnie refuses to leave Diamond, and I didn't want to leave Donnie alone with his thoughts, so I stayed with him.

Mikaela and Honey have stopped by a few times to check on us. Then they grabbed DJ for a while, letting him have some fun before they'd bring him back to us.

Donnie and I have been talking a lot since coming here.

Unfortunately I had to come to terms with the fact that Donnie really does love Diamond that much.

And I love Donnie... So I have to accept his love for Diamond.

So I've been letting him tell me about Diamond these past few days.

He hasn't told me everything, just some general information.

He's twenty-nine, he'll be turning thirty in a few months, his father is in prison on a life sentence for drug and murder charges, his mother died when he was a child, and he only trusts three people in life—Donnie, and his two best friends.

After hearing that his last name was LaFleur, I jokingly asked if he spoke French.

Apparently he does know French.

"Did you know his last name means 'the flower?'" I asked Donnie. He was busy watching tv, but glanced over at me to raise his brows when I spoke. "Lafleur, or La Fleur, it means 'the flower' in French."

Donnie hummed quietly and shook his head. "I ain't know that. I'm sure he did, but that wasn't really a fun fact he ever brought up."

"So... His father was French?" I asked in confusion.

"Yeah. I mean, his peoples was from France. Like his grandparents and shit. But his daddy was born in America, and then they had Diamond here too." He explained absentmindedly. It's funny... It's like he wasn't even thinking about the answers. They just came straight out like instinct... I want to know someone that deeply. For talking about them to be as simple as breathing.

I'd preferably like to know Donnie like that.

"You really love this nigga, huh?" I asked as I watched him kiss Diamond's forehead for the hundredth time. It's like he has to keep touching him to believe he's alive.

"With all of my heart." He responded quietly. "I know that people wanted me to leave him for what he was doin'. I know he wanted me to leave him for what he was doin'. But me and him are bonded for life. Bonded by blood, tears, and death. You don't go through the shit we went through together and just give it all up."

I nodded my head in slight understanding. Personally I'd never be able to stay with someone who's cheating on me, but I guess I can see why this particular situation is different. "So cheatin' isn't enough for you to leave?" I asked.

"No, cheatin' isn't enough for me to leave him." He clarified. "I'd leave you in a second if you step out on me."

That got a laugh out of me, and I saw a small smirk on his face too. "So you sayin' we together?" I asked with a smirk of my own.

"I ain't say allat." Donnie rolled his eyes.

"You been callin' me your boyfriend for a couple weeks now, don't try and take it back now in front of him." I joked while pointing to Diamond's very unconscious body.

He had his oxygen mask removed a few days ago and had it replaced with the 'nose thing' as I had called it. Apparently it's called a nasal cannula, but who's saying all that.
